Denver is 4-1 with Tim Tebow as a starter this year. More tracker info to follow.
third team QB is not the same as the scout team QB... as an example, when the Bucs had Freeman, Johnson and Leftwich as their QB's, Johnson was the 3rd stringer, but Leftwich ran the scout team... it wouldnt be helping the defense to put tebow in there, trying to mimic offenses led by Rivers, Dalton, Campbell, Hasselbeck and Godgers... of course they let Quinn run the scout team those weeks, its common sense...

And we used the Tebow RZ package not a once during the first give weeks. So I doubt it was part of many walk-throughs.

its partly repetition, partly a QB who doesnt line them up properly... i'll agree that this is an inherent issue when switching to a new style of offense, but it also something that is easily fixed, not the major problem you are trying to make it out to be...

i also wonder if the penalties you mention killed those drives, b/c a 5 yard penalty isnt a drive killer...

no, i got there the year after they all left (charles and murray, at least)...

just to clarify: 2008 state title with bolles, 2009 with plant...

I'll look up the drives when I get home, but I doubt all 5 penalties were drive killers...

The concept has been the same throughout the season, whether it's Inside Zone or Zone Read. The CONCEPT itself, however, is actually quite complex. The lines I drew earlier don't do it justice at all.

Zone blocking needs a ton of repetitions against thousands of fronts. When to deuce bump, when to scoop, when to let go, how to pick up a stunt, a blitz, all of these different factors are relevant in a Zone blocking scheme.

Five guys need to have the same plan for it to work. If Denver is having more success now, it's probably because their line is getting more comfortable with each other.

Lots of fancy coach speak here, while ignoring the obvious.

Denver has completely revamped how they attack defenses, and have a FB playing QB. That's why they are running the ball much better now. To chalk it up to the offensive line suddenly gelling is beyond simplification and delves into blissful ignorance/contrarian territory.

If he can play never getting injured from a big hit running the option....he will be great. But when your own coach says they can't run a "normal" offense, it's only a matter of time before he goes into a funk (like all other qb's) and they will be asking for the backup to be put in. The best thing he can do is keep winning and have someone trade for him.

I have to lol @ Atlas and Dyspdr23423849 for ignoring the obvious. BRB, nothing has changed between a traditional NFL offense, and an option read/Power read offense...

In b4 "you've never seen an NFL practice"

I've on the field for 6 NFL practices, and I intend to head to Chicago next summer to see a couple more. I really want to meet Devin Hester.

He was talking specifically about the running back's increase in production, from what I understand. I'm not saying I'm the smartest guy on the block, but I know Tebow himself has helped the rushing numbers. Don't insult my intelligence like that.
