There's really no way to enforce this during games, but there could be some sort of fine or something if they catch it on the game tape.

One way to solve this problem slightly would be to make it 2 plays instead of just one that an injured player has to sit out.Comment

I think that they should make it a series. If they are injured enough to have medical staff come out then they should have to sit out longer then 1 play.
If they are so worried about injuries and hitting hard then this needs to be implemented to protect a player from entering a game with a real injury after 1 play and further injurying himselfComment

I don't think the NFL can put the refs in a position to play doctor and judge injury, but the NFL should review game tapes afterwards and fine teams/coaching staffs for at worst allowing these shenanigans to occur. Tom Coughlin should be fined. If it occurs again, the Giants should forfeit a draft pick.Comment
