Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley was in intensive care after suffering a neck injury against the Browns. His playing status is obviously in question after such a brutal injury. The Packers passing game is also without receiver Randall Cobb, who has a broken fibula and could be out until DecemberComment

I'm not sure it even matters, if that defense doesn't get a whole lot better very quickly they aren't going to make the playoffs.
That was about as pitiful of a defensive effort at home that I've seen in a while. They looked slow, tired, tackled poorly, pursued horribly, and like they didn't even really give a shit. Worst tackling I've seen this year.Comment

Lukewarm feeling as of right now about the 2013 season. I think the Packers were better than a one and done but they did win the division and make the playoffs after losing something like 15 players for the year from the opening day roster, not including the loss of Rodgers for 2 months. Next year will be tougher to advance unless they find a way to keep most of the 19 players that will be free agents in a few weeks.Comment

It wouldn't hurt for Thompson to go out of character and look at free agents like he did with Woodson. That move is 2nd only to the drafting of Rodgers as the high points of Thompson's resume as GM.Comment

So Shields only has a bruise to his knee? This reminds me of Gabe Wilkins in Super Bowl XXXII when he refused to go back into the game after getting nicked up because it might damage his free agency plans

While Sunday ended up being a bad day for his team, things could have been even worse for Packers cornerback Sam Shields.
He exited in pain during the 49ers’ opening offensive drive after a teammate fell on Shields’ leg during an effort to tackle San Francisco receiver Michael Crabtree.
Believed to be an MCL strain, an MRI exam reveals that Shields suffered only a bone bruise. And that’s great news for Shields, given that he’s due to become a free agent in March.
Shields started 14 regular-season games in 2013, missing two with a hamstring injury.Comment

So Shields is suppose to diagnose himself pre MRI? Wow, he would have an incredible medical career after he's done with football.Comment
