Vikings should bite the bullet and trade for Cassell...at least he was able to put multiple good games together this past season.

They have been in the talks for Cassel I believe. It would be a very good team for Cassel to go to. The already are a playoff caliber team but they just need a QB that can throw the ball without making mistakes.

Only way I'd trade for Cassel is if I could somehow get him to agree to a one-year deal. Let him prove he's more than just a good system quarterback.

Whoever gets Cassel will be on the hook for a Bulger/Romo-type contract, first and third round picks, and maybe even more money than Bulger or Romo. That's an awfully big risk for a guy with one season under his belt (playing with Moss and Welker).

The patriots are trying to get many draft picks as they can. They dont really like haveing a top ten pick because they dont like spending the money when most likely you can find someone of equal talent later in the first.

Rosenfels may be an upgrade for Minnesota, but that's more a testament to how much Jackson sucks than how good Sage is. A team in such a QB hungry state should jump at the chance to get someone like Cassel. If it doesn't work, well, it happens...but you won't know unless you've got the balls to pull the trigger.

ahh, it could be like the Texans did for the guy who played behind Vick for so many years.

then again, that turned out to be pretty much pointless, as the guy hasn't done anything, Atlanta got a 2nd round pick, and right now looks like they made the right decision with having Matt Ryan.

I think the vikings should do it. I would rather have Minny go get Sage than take a chance on a Rookie QB. If you can't get him with a fourth round pick, than offer some more for him. Go as high as a three or a two. Man, I would love to see that.

I disparately want the Vikings to go after Sage, and give up as much as they can for him. I would do anything to encourage them to do it. And I hope they GREATLY over pay him. Not just in salary, but with a HUGE signing bonus.
