Thanks W2BTD. I figured he wasn't the problem, but it seemed weird that he's in a slump and the Rams are 0-5. I knew he was getting pressured and sacked like crazy, but I haven't seen many Rams games so I can only assume something's off. Seems like the O-Line has always been the problem since the Bulger era. And I had no idea Mike Sims-Walker was that bad for you guys.

Once again though, I really do credit him for only throwing two picks this entire season.

It's sad when the best receiver on your team is your running back. Somehow, the Rams receiving core is still worse than the Bears.

As crazy as it sounds, I think they should. Andrew Luck looks like a no-brainer and Miami would give up multiple picks for Bradford.
Why would Miami opt to accept that insane rookie contract? The Rams would trade the pick instead because Luck would have more value to suitors than Bradford would at his oversized deal. The Rams would get a much better haul from keeping Bradford and swapping the pick.

The difference between Luck and Bradford isn't great enough to offset the additional picks/players you could receive in compensation. Bradford is more than good enough to be a winning QB if you surround him with actual players. The Rams have a lot of problems right now and Luck won't be able to solve them any quicker. Better to build a solid team around Bradford than to hit the reset button.

The thing about Bradford, is I'm not even a big Bradford guy. I didnt want the Rams to draft him, I wanted Suh and then McCoy in the second. But I have to be fair. There are like 6 or 7 players on the entire team who aren't to blame for this debacle, and he's one of them.

Getting smashed every week can destroy a QB, especially a young one (David Carr). Rams fans have seen that happen twice in recent times (Jim Everett & Marc Bulger, and to a lesser extent, Warner in his first life when the Rams cut him for being punch drunk an ineffective). Spagnuolo won't be the coach next year, so hopefully they get someone in here with a clue who understands personel better.

Of course they arent, Freeman didnt play a full season his rookie year. Lets talk sophomore numbers

This thread is a microcosm of why NFL discussion sucks here. Someone starts a thread about Sam Bradford, and we immediately get:

              - dave suggesting the Rams trade Bradford if they get the #1 pick
              - BigBucs randomly talking about Josh Freeman

No thread in this subforum is complete without irrational opinions being brought forth by dave and irrational knobslobbing of Josh Freeman brought forth by BigBucs.

I was going to come in here and go to bat for Bradford and explain why its not even remotely his fault, but W2B did that for me.

The more pressing stat you should take from that is the 2 INTs and how remarkable it is that he hasnt turned the ball over more considering his weapons and his Oline, altho I am sure thats PARTLY attributed to Spagnola calling the most conservative games imaginable.

                    You have Dane Sanzenbacher.

                    Your argument is invalid.

On a serious note though, agreed with everything w2b has said in this thread.

                      Dave. Stop.

Bradford is 23.. if the Rams fall into the #1 pick they can trade that pick for a kings ransom and add a lot of key pieces on both sides of the ball.

Cam Newton looks great in Carolina and they've won 1 game. It takes more than a QB to be fully successful, the Rams have a franchise guy - they need to build the team now.

It starts with a coaching change IMO, as Spags just isn't cut to be a head coach in this league.. and W2B can better explain everything else.

But giving up on Bradford 21 games into his career is hilarious.

Lets not forget Giants fans sticking up for Spags. I dont understand how WTB can hate and blame the guy so much. Fact is injuries has decimated this team.
