Reason Stafford didnt throw at combine was that he was already pretty solid to be Top 3 taken and at the combine your throwing to WRs that you dont know there routines. So he decided he wouldnt throw so it couldnt hurt him so at worst hes top 3 pick.

He was the best quarterback on the team last year. He played well enough to start next year too, the little mishap with the Vikes game aside, Dan played pretty decent football. He doesn't suck and although he doesn't have a great arm, he can make the downfield throws when he has to.

Orlovsky doesn't suck, he's acceptable at the moment, like I said earlier he should be our interim QB.

Why the hell is he even in the NFL?
Honestly in the 2007 season watching him was classic especially in the 4th quarter of a tight game. The moment there were signs of the pocket collapsing, he'd just go into full on panic mode and turn the ball over.

Prime example of Jon Kitna's inability to play QB was the Giants game in the 07 season. Down 16-10 late in the 4th Kitna throws a jump ball to 5'9 shaun McDonald...twice!! Once in the endzone that got batted away and than on 3rd and 10 he threw the jump ball to him and it got picked.

I've been a Kitna hater since we got him. Even when he showed signs of being good I kept saying how terrible he was and he proved me right.

Dan Orlovsky sucks, and so does Kitna. Culpepper can play a few games and will be the favorite for Linehan seeing he played in the offense back in Minnesota, but really i don't like any of their quarterbacks. Stanton is the only one i think has a chance to be good in the coming years.

What exactly do you see Drew Stanton becoming good at? Because it sure as hell isn't playing quarterback in the NFL. The kid looks like a steaming pile of horse turd.

This is exactly why Detroit has to draft Stafford, to put an end to all this nonsense.

          Daunte Culpepper?
          Drew Stanton?
          Jon Kitna?

Who the fuck would start Jon Kitna again? Seriously? Does Detroit really need a guy to throw 15 TDs and 23 interceptions? Daunte Culpepper is about as retarded as Corky from ''Life Goes On.'' And Drew Stanton? I wouldn't wipe my ass with a Drew Stanton rookie card.

I actually met Drew Stanton in person once - Why I'm not totally famous yet, is beyond me.

I'm pretty much convinced that Detroit will take a QB... WHile I dont believe it's the smartest thing to do, they will do it.

Now it would surprise me if they dont give him a stupid-fat contract. They need to be able to jump on some FA's and get somethings done.

(Side note) what city are you from?

This post shows how little you know about Lions football. First of all Orlovsky did not suck, after getting thrown to the wolves he came out alive. I'm not saying he's the quarterback of the future but he is a solid game manager. He gave this team opportunities to win only the defense couldn't come through.

Stanton sucks, no doubt about it. The coaches last year said they had to work on how he threw the ball, that pretty much means this kid has no hope another Millen bust. I think you need to stop looking at Madden ratings so much and actually make judgements based on performance on the field.

Yeah, Orlovsky wasn't bad last year, i hoped when we drafted him that he'd be able to start, because almost every preseason, he's tearing it up when he gets to play, or at-least managing the game really good.

He got his chance to play last year, and he did fine, he'll do fine on another team, so long as he starts..it's a shame that he won't resign, i've read around that the Lions organization made him mad this whole season and there's no way he's resigning.

And to add, i'm originally from Grand Blanc, MI, but i'm in FL now.

                RIP West

Yeah they gave Dan the run around big time. After he recovered from his injury they still let Daunte start, than I'm pretty sure that game Daunte got benched and Orlovsky took over.

Dan gave us plenty of chances to win, if only our defense could have stepped up just once or Rod Marinelli didn't put our 5th string corner on Reggie Wayne that ended in a td. Tampa Two FTW!!!
