I was talking about the National Championship.

Upon actually reading the majority of this thread, I see you were arguing about whether Alabama deserved to be in the SEC Championship. And to that, I say no.

I love how the BCS works. What does LSU get for going to Tuscaloosa and and beating Bama in a 1 vs 2 matchup? Putting their national title hopes on the line vs a number 3 ranked Arkansas team then an SEC championship game vs Georgia at the Georgia dome.

What does Alabama get for losing that LSU matchup? A game against a completely overmatched Auburn team and a spot in national title game.

Hey man, everyone knows losing at home should clinch you a bye to the national title game.

It's just another example of how stupid this whole process is. The BCS was sold with the concept that it puts more meaning into the regular season. And then all of the sudden, the biggest game of the year and supposedly the matchup that had the most national championship game implications is now a glorified scrimmage.

Even the basic definition per the official BCS process is flawed. On one hand you hear this:

It is designed to ensure that the two top-rated teams in the country meet in the national championship game
            But then you hear this:

The BCS allows for preserving the significance of the regular season, which is the most meaningful in sports.
Really? Then how could the regular season mean anything when you have had/will have a participant that didn't even participate in their conference championship game?

            So dumb.
