I would hate to see Fred Taylor go to New England. I'll puke if i see him in that uniform.

The Eagles are expected to inquire about free agent OL Stacy Andrews.

Andrews' big brother Shawn is a Pro Bowler in Philly and could be a good influence on the still-developing tackle. Stacy remains a project after five years on the league and one franchise tag. He's also rehabbing a torn ACL.

Panthers beat report Darin Gantt writes that he is "convinced" franchise player Julius Peppers won't be in Carolina next season.

Jordan Gross recently said he thought Peppers was open to staying, but indications point towards a trade around draft time. Carolian still figures to play hardball throughout this process to get as much compensation as possible.

ESPN's John Clayton reports that Albert Haynesworth's cellphone "blew up" when the free agent market opened early Friday.

The Redskins appear to be focusing on Chris Canty, who will be cheaper, after locking up DeAngelo Hall. The Bucs may have emerged to the forefront here.

The Saints will host CB Ronald Bartell for a free agent visit Friday, according to ESPN's John Clayton.

The Rams couldn't get Bartell under contract before the clock struck midnight and it appears negotiations may have broken off. Denver is also expected to pursue the sure-tackling 27-year-old, but New Orleans has first dibs.

The Jets have emerged as a contender to sign free agent G Chris Kemoeatu.

New York created a need at guard by releasing Brandon Moore on Thursday. Kemoeatu is considered challenged in pass pro, but is a mauling run blocker.

ESPN's John Clayton reports that free agent G/C Jason Brown has set up a formal visit with the Rams.

He figures to be in St. Louis on Friday. Brown is seeking a deal paying $8M annually after turning down the Ravens' $6 million-per-year proposal.

The St. Louis Rams may be raiding the Baltimore Ravens for two key free agents.

Linebacker Bart Scott and center Jason Brown are set to visit with the Rams, FOXSports.com has learned.

Scott is hitting the market after being unable to strike a long-term contract extension with the Ravens, which also could lose fellow linebacker Ray Lewis in free agency. A seven-year NFL veteran, Scott has started all 16 games for the Ravens for the past three seasons and is considered one of the league's best interior 3-4 linebackers.

The Rams are expected to run a 4-3 defense under new head coach Steve Spagnuolo, who was the New York Giants' defensive coordinator. If Scott is signed, middle linebacker Will Witherspoon could return to his more natural position of weak-side linebacker.
