If you potentially get three first round picks (which is the rumored asking price) and then other picks in this years draft as well, there is no way I would hold onto that pick, especially if the other quarterback on my roster is Peyton Manning.

You figure that the team that trades for this pick has to work out a deal with Cleveland, Cincinnati or New England to get one of their first rounders, and deals their first round pick this year and next year. Then you get extra picks this year as well. The Colts would be stupid to pass that one up and be able to rebuild their depth in the draft, still be able to pick up another QB to groom behind Manning and then retool a bit in free agency.

Aaron Rodgers complete lack of communciation with Favre says otherwise. Favre was always considered a prick.........especially late in his career. Are we forgetting the issues he had in NY with guys like Thomas Jones, the issues with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, then his complete dick head behavior after he retired when the Packers won the SB.

Obviously, Manning would prefer them to draft a position that can contribute immediately and help him win another SB over a backup but he's not going to throw a hissy fit about it. I think a lot of it has to do with the other options on the roster.. Nobody wants to see Brady Quinn play and the majority of fans were actually behind Orton during the pre-season. Things started to go downhill when he blew the Raider game with that late fumble and then proceeded to lead the league in turnovers. Throw in the 2 and a half years of mediocrity and people were ready to move on to just about anyone.

Sure Tebow is charismatic and is on a hell of a run now and even if we brought in Manning he'd have a ton of support from a segment of the fan base. But if Manning were able to come in and be 90% of what he was in Indy it wouldn't take long for the fans to rally behind him. The Denver fans want to win just as much as anyone and the fan base isn't 100% sold on Tebow as the future even right now when he could for all intents and purposes be peaking.

Tebowner > Manning.
