There are really only two ways this could possibly unfold.
In scenario one Denver signs Manning and Dallas Clark... Flip Tebow to the Jags for a second rounder and use to to pick Cousins/Foles/Osweiler or wait a little bit later and take Ryan Lindley. Denver goes 19-0 and is the greatest team of all-time.
In scenario two we don't sign either Manning or Clark and Tebow develops into a 60% passer next season, scores 60 combined TDs and Denver goes 19-0 and is the greatest team of all-time.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you on this one. I'm happy with the Hasselbeck/Locker combo, but you can't pass up a future HOFer with a few years worth of gas left in the tank.
I've got a gut feeling that Manning will be wearing Columbia blue by the end of the week. I think (no matter what he says to the Indy fans and media) he feels slighted by Irsay and the Colts and would love to play against them as many times as possible.
Ricky Vaughn: "I've got news for you, Mr. Irsay! You may think I'm shit now, but someday I'm gonna catch on with another team. And everytime I play against you...I'm gonna stick it up...your fucking ass!"
no, youre just hungry, go eat something. It will not happen.Comment

If I were a fan of an AFC South team, I would rather see Peyton sign than Mario. Any team that signs him w/o having him throw is taking a huge risk imo. I can see it biting them in the ass, if it doesn't get them a SB (not just a playoff) win....$ counted toward salary cap for years down the line. If Bud Adams just hands him a check and tells him to put what he wants....I can't see much good coming out of it. I have to think Adams is smarter than that.
edit: depends what $ they give him guaranteedComment

HOUSTON – Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams tells KHOU 11 Sports reporter Matt Musil that he has offered free agent quarterback Peyton Manning a contract "For Life" to stay in Tennessee.
Manning was in Nashville on Wednesday to meet with Titans head coach Mike Munchak and other team personnel.
Adams, who still lives in Houston, went on to say that because Manning is so well respected in Tennessee, he feels that it would be the perfect spot for the future Hall of Famer to sign.
In addition to the Titans, Manning has visited the Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins since being released by the Indianapolis Colts last week.
Bud Adams added that he "feels great" about their chances to land Manning.
He also didn’t seem deterred by Manning’s health status, as he told Matt Musil he had spoken with several doctors involved in the quarterback’s recovery. He said he isn’t concerned with Peyton’s arm strength at this point because, in his estimation, it’s not as strong as it was before his last year’s surgery.
"I’m only concerned how strong it is in September, when he starts the regular season," said Adams during the phone interview with Matt Musil.
He added that he really likes Titans 2nd year quarterback Jake Locker and believes he has a great future, but with the chance to get someone as special as Peyton Manning, he just feels like he has to "go for it."
The longtime owner said he was happy to see the positive response from so many Titans fans who are hoping Manning will return to the state where he played collegiately at the University of Tennessee.
