He's reportedly not being picked up and flown back to Denver.

Chris Mortensen tweeted that the plane is headed to NC for a workout by Peyton. Could end up being more, though.

      Edit: Woy has it covered.

Arizona's out of it according to the Denver Post.

          Broncos or Titans.

Make your move Peyton, make your move.

Take the cakewalk in the AFC West or stay with the familiarity of the AFC South.

one makes a little more sense than the other IMO. seeing as those dudes down in Houston have proven they're not pussy pushovers anymore.

This leads me to believe he prefers Denver. Right now it seems Bud Adams would finger Peyton's ass if that is what it takes to get Manning to sign, plus Tenn. Doctors looked him over at the interview. Since Manning is continuing on with a Denver workout instead of signing immediately with the owner who will give him anything, I feel he wants to go to Denver and they are making him workout as a precaution before signing.

P.S. W00t! Flynn left Seattle with no contract, heading to Miami a day early! We are rebuilding....yet again....much better option.

Yeah Matt Flynn could be very legit, but I just pray that he doesn't end up being a bust for the money he could get if he signs today.

there's always a chance of someone busting. But Flynn's price has dropped severely as Seattle and Miami are the only real interested parties right now. As for Manning, Miami never had a shot and I don't know why I keep reading so many Dolphins fans crying. Not to mention it just doesn't make sense for our situation. We need a 7-10yr option, not 2-3yr.

I doubt Flynn is a 7-10 year guy. At least with Manning you know what you are getting. Hopefully Miami doesn't sign Flynn to some lengthy contract. He has Kevin Kolb/Matt Cassel written all over him.

I get that the Fins don't really have any other options, just don't give him a huge deal because of 2 games.

@MichaelLombardi: Manning will throw for the Titans as well, no date has been set for that workout

He would destroy our salary cap, we don't have the ridiculous amount Denver does. And if we didn't win a Super Bowl this next year things would only get worse as the years progressed unless he was willing to restructure. We need more than just Peyton manning and we wouldn't have much to acquire it. It's exactly why I said 3 days ago that Arizona has no shot, they didn't even have any surplus at the time.

I bet he's going to cost $15 million + per year toward someone's cap. I don't see how he couldn't.

I find it funny you care more about what may happen in 5-10 years when your team could've had arguably the GOAT.

You apparently feel better with them investing in an unproven back-up as their new starter than Peyton. I don't get that logic, cap be damned.

Ironically, it's all moot since Peyton apparently didn't even consider Miami as a serious option.

Clay Travis is a local guy about my age (33) who grew up here in Nashville. He's got a law degree from Vandy and has written several books about the UT Vols/SEC in general. He parlayed those books into being a writer for various websites and blogs. He has his own site now called Outkickthecoverage.com. He had a radio show here in Nashville for awhile that came on at night which he then parlayed into a midday show and now an afternoon "drive time" show with Brent Dougherty and former Titan/Eagle Blaine Bishop.

I usually take everything he says with a large grain of salt. Simply put...he's a fan. He has some sources and inside connections, but I'm pretty sure he knows as little about Manning's intentions as everyone else.

Sorry for the long post. Just trying to give some background info about him.

Because I prefer the Pittsburgh Steelers approach to building/maintaining a team rather than teh Dallas Cowboys or Wash. Redskins.
