As if Peyton doesn't wanna stick it to Indy twice a year for the next 3 years.
Tennessee it must be.Comment

maybe I'm nuts but Tennessee looks like the least desirable location behind San Francisco and Denver.
I can understand the Titan's side in a Denver Vs. Tennessee argument but look, Peyton isn't going to have a cakewalk in the south while that smug mother fucker is still running the rock in Houston (God damn I hate that MF'er but God Damn can that kid run).
If Manning goes to Tennessee it would more than likely be a comfort thing (mostly for his wife I presume).
I find it funny Titan fans are calling for Manning to return "home", when he probably lived in NO for 18 years, Tennessee for 4, and Indianapolis for the last 14.Comment

In the South, you obviously have Houston as a challenger and then Jacksonville and Indy as spoilers. And the division has been set up like that for most of Peyton's career, with the Titans has the only main challenger and the Jaguars (although they had their moments) and the Texans as bottom-feeders. He's never really had a cakewalk division, so I don't seeing that becoming a factor.

I'm interested to hear your reasoning for this.

Right now I feel we're the favorites, but have the feeling that Peyton will spurn us and go out west. Maybe it's because of my experience as a Titans fan or maybe it's because of the whole Albert Pujols mess a few months ago, but I won't be the least bit shocked if I'm disappointed on Monday/Tuesday.
The only positive I can see out of this is that we're still set nicely at quarterback if Peyton does do what I think he'll do.

The 2008 Jets had ZERO playmakers. Thomas Jones was their HB and Cotchery/Coles were their WR's.
They still have cap space and rookies to build a marginal D, and they should have an auto path to at least four wins over Jacksonville and Indy.Comment

One thing people don't realize (and maybe it's because Tennessee doesn't get as much attention as most teams do from the national media) is that the Titans had their best draft in years last season - with multiple impact players on the defensive side of the ball. Jurrell Casey, Colin McCarthy, Karl Klug and Akeem Ayers all impressed in their first year and look to be the foundation for this defense for a while, so if we can have another draft like that in April (especially if we can pick up an impact pass rusher) then the D will improve enough where it would make us a legit contender to make some noise in the playoffs.

I doubt that. Tennessee's offense would instantly become a top five offense in the league IF Peyton is on his game. People are quick to write off Chris Johnson, but can you imagine how dangerous he'd be with Peyton under the gun? He's caught roughly 50 passes each year, and I would take him #1 in fantasy if Manning went there. Add in Kenny Britt and a very underrated Nate Washington, and you have a full, potent offense.

Also, to Alex Smith visiting Miami, I say:

But Flynn's price has dropped severely as Seattle and Miami are the only real interested parties right now. As for Manning, Miami never had a shot and I don't know why I keep reading so many Dolphins fans crying. Not to mention it just doesn't make sense for our situation. We need a 7-10yr option, not 2-3yr.No, I don't, where did I act excited and say all of this?
Rumor was there was going to be a signing of E.Winston, M.Flynn, and Reggie Wayne. I've had Flynn in my sig for a week. Where have you been?
And that makes no sense. You hope we lose him for disrespecting how well Matt Moore played.....but if we do lose him, ya know, we still have Matt Moore and he'll be our QB. I can play this game too: I hope Manning goes to Tenn., that way all of the sunshine being blown out of Denver's ass will cease to happen when they realize that even with their $7 billion dollars in cap space, they will ride or die next year with their 46% completion rate QB at the helm. Oh yeah, and without some of his plays last year they would have never made it where they did last year....but its OK for Denver to "disrespect him" to bring in Manning.Comment
