He has to verbally quote it for it to count?

I'll become part of the "I hate negro's group" but I'll never say a word about it, then become an NFL star, preach to the media about how awesome my group leader is but never say a bad word to the media about how I think negro's are.

    We're good, right?

I can play the absurd example card too.

Again, I've never said he was dumb enough toc ome otu and spout it. But aligning yuorself with an organization like Focus on the Family brings it into question.

I'm not assuming Tebow feels any certain way that whay I want him to be asked about it.

Was taking to task to harsh a term? Sure whatever.

      Point stands.

No one ever implied he was.

        I don't know?

I'd probably know if others were using the NFL as a platform, but they aren't, therefore I don't have a problem with them.

Continue with the "woe is Tebow" though and fail to see that difference.

          Oh come on.

Tebow is clearly the most out there by a wide margin, he's the most vocal, and he's the only NFL player I can thinkof currently playign who has openly admtted to using the NFL as a platform to help spread his beliefs from.

You're belittling his efforts to justify your position and being ignorant to how he's different than others in his expression.

You refuse to be reasonable and see it any other way, so we're at an impasse on this point as far as I can see.

Nothing out of the ordinary here.

All Christian players have a move associated with them praying after every drive.

Totally the same, he's no different.

Or he's got a cult like following.....

                  ...like all NFL Christians....

I'm I would think that by him saying things it helps spread his beliefs.

I personally am not(right now). I'm wanting the questions asked because the group his is preaching his beliefs with and the organizations he has aligned himself with have a decent history of intolerance. I'm with holding judgement of Tebow personally.

I said I wanted questions asked about Tebow personally. To see where he stands.

I haven't passed any judgement on Tebow personally as far as him hating gays(and others). I've said the people he aligns himself with seem to so I think it would be a fair and relevant question to ask him for a guy that is so open, out there, and using his fame as an obvious platform to spread beliefs from.

I don't recall the "Bavoring phase" of the NFL public. Unless they mean being smelly and Italian.

Here's Phillp Rivers using his influence on children that support his belief that we should practice abstinence.

Deion Sanders is semi vocal on his beliefs. He still mentors youth about religion.

Kurt Warner thanked Jesus after he won the superbowl.

All use their role in society to spread their beliefs. Being able to vocalize your beliefs is a fundamental right in our country.

I do know that people have been kneeling down in the end zone since I've known what a football was.

And like I said before.. If someone's religious beliefs are swayed by someone throwing a TD pass is that Tebow's fault?

Weak minded people would just find something else to latch onto.
I thought I put a picture of him praying on the sidelines, routinely done throughout a game. We're not talking about the few times a year someone scores a touchdown.

If a child who's idolzing Tebow chooses his religious path, then yeah you could say it's his fault that he influenced that child into believing in it.

Much like advertising convinces people to go out and buy shit, how is it any different? He's advertising his faith, he's not just kneeling and thanking God privately for a TD, he's sharing it multiple times an event both through action and words.

All kids want to be like their heroes...so if you're going to be a hero you should probably keep something as complicated as religion to yourself IMO.
