    Let me get this straight..

Josh McDaniels has alienated his star QB because he desperately wanted.... MATT CASSELL? He crushed his young, solid, rising QB in Cutler because he had ambitions of replacing him with Matt Cassell? Is this fucking foreal?

Sorry, I know I might be late to the story, but WOW. What an embarrassment..

Yeah, I don't really get what McDaniels was doing there. Cutler is a pretty good young QB. I get the familiarity with Cassel, but it doesn't seem a great move to me.

What happened was that the Lions asked the Broncos if Jay Cutler was available because they wanted to get Cassel from the Patriots then trade Cassel for Cutler. Then apparently word got out about the Lions wanting Cutler and more teams decided to ask the Brncos about Cutler. Then Cutler decided to have a little bitch fit. So that is what I believe happened. I believe this is what the "team x" was which lasted only 5 minutes.

If they don't stop the bleeding quickly, this epic fail could destroy McDaniels' tenure in Denver before it happens.

Thanks to the Falcons and Titans starting the "Let's make our alternate jerseys our home jerseys from now on?"

            What next?

I think dawkins looks good in orange, but getting rid of cutler would have been huge and probably not a step in the correct direction.

Why is Jay Cutler regarded as a "young star" to so many people. He hasnt taken his team above 500yet and helped blow a 4 game divisional lead.

Maybe hes a young up and coming player but isint it a bit early to be calling him a star?

                  Agreed.

But see at forums ''stats'' matter, wins/losses don't.

In reality, it's the complete opposite. It's nice to meet a guy like you, who is currently living in reality. Jay Cutler may very well be a star one day, but right now, he's inconsistent as fuck, and I really wouldn't be surprised if McDaniels really did want Matt Cassel over Jay Cutler. I also won't be shocked if Cassel ends up with the better career.

Win/losses are not everything when evaluating talent. Football is a team game. Jay Cutler is indeed a young star QB in my eyes. And even if hes not, its a fucking insult to even fathom trading him for Matt Cassell.

Yes its a team game but a qb gets most the credit/blame for losses. Its not like im asking alot from him. I dont understand how he can be considered a star , hes inconsistent as they come right now.

Even the guy your pointing your finger and laughin at went 11-5 in his first season. (i know good team around him) and managed towards the backend of the season to be pretty consistent.

Cause you can turn from a hero to a zero in a matter of weeks. Garrett of Dallas was wanted by alot of teams last offseason , this off-season , there was no hype around him. You turn one job down ... you dont know when you will be offered another.

My bad. Let me throw a few stats then.

Jay Cutler was 2nd in interceptions, only below Brett Favre.

Four of those interceptions coming in the last three games, where one of those games would have sealed a playoff spot. Jay Cutler is inconsistent as hell. But yes, Glen, he does have a strong arm.
