Fox and CBS gets dibs on the games 1st, ESPN and ABC pretty much have their schedule worked out so these games that will be on NFL Network wont be taking away from your Sunday until late in the season. Yet and still we are talking about 1-2 game(s) a week being taken away from 10-12 games or so that will be on Sunday.

Well that depends what side you're on. The I wanna watch football games side or the I want to watch the highlights of a game instead side.
The way things are currently I have no problem with. Now if they add games any more days of the week then it definitely will be overkill. I'm not sure what's up with the traditional saturday game at the end of the season though, seems a like a bit of an oddball to me.
I'm not sure how other sports work because football is the only professional sport I have any interest in, but I wonder in basketball lets say, how many out of market games are there that you may want to see but can't? Does the NFL have more or less of these games is really what I'm wondering than other sports.Comment

Seriously to answer your statement. If they ignore the thursday game they'll still watch the highlights on sunday.
If the game was on sunday instead of thursday they still wouldn't get to watch the game and they'd still get to watch the highlights (although they would've already seen it for a few days in advance). But the football world would not have changed that much is what I was trying to say.Comment

Stoked for this game and the entire season, really.
Don't know why Houston bumped this thread, though, as it is clearly for last years season and this game is on Thursday.
Well I do know why, because he doesn't watch football, but whatever.

It will be interesting to see what they do to get pressure but I think we may have the best secondary in the NFL this year.
The running back situation is a different story.
