Well considering we were 25th in passing 21st in rushing and 20th in scoring I would say they weren't amazing. They had turnovers on their side which is the only stat that stands out. Searching the qb or any player out and blocking them high is a dirty play if you're targeting them and they have no bearing on the play. When I was a kid, playing pop warner, the first thing we were taught is to block the guy who committed the turnover first.

If the guy that fumbles is the RB, then he is going to get hit. If the guy that throws the pick is the QB, then he is going to hit.

Never, in my entire life of playing football up until college, were we ever taught to block anybody at half speed.

I've literally played against girls in high school. And I went as hard at them as I did anyone else. If they are trying to tackle my teammate to prevent him from scoring, then they are going to hit, and they are going to hit as hard as I can possibly hit them.

This is football. This is how it's always been. This is what you sign up for when you put on the pads, and especially when you are playing professionally and your job is on the line every single play.

I don't care if you're Kurt Warner or Mother Theresa, if you get on that football field you will get the shit knocked out of you and nobody is going to take it easy on you just because you're a quarterback or a woman or a pussy like some of you.

You guys were obviously taught different and played football a different way than I did. There were no friends on the football fields that I played on. We were out to knock the shit out of every single person on the opposing team. Actually, I have never complained about the "pussification" of football, because I understand common sense, don't like to see people maimed, and totally get where the league is coming from 90% of the time.

There is such a thing as cheap "legal" hits. Just because it's legal does not make it clean. There is no reason to blast a guy who is 50 yards away from a play, just because you can, or because "that pussy wasnt looking! ha!"
