I'm not letting the players off the hook, especially Vilma who has been a shady character since college, but the coaches and the front office people involved in this should be held to a higher standard, and aside from even promoting it, should not have let it spiral out of control to this degree.

Loomis knew, was told by the league and Tom Benson to end it, and didn't. Same for Payton. There is rumor that Benson might just fire everybody at this point and start over.

In a lot of cases, these players are immature guys in their 20's who aren't the world's brightest minds. That's not me letting them off the hook, but 50-year old leaders of men need to be help more accountable.

We've created the league into a win-at-all-cost blood bath where anything within a bent framework of rules is going to happen. What else would you expect?

I understand you don't watch the Saints. As you know I watch every game. Nothing out of the ordinary. Shit there was a point where most of the Saints penalties was fucking false start and holding. Would it be "legal" to give "awards" out to the players for certain achievements in the game?

I don't want to compare football too much with high school football, but when I played we had various stickers you put on your helmet. We had the general green paw, which almost everyone got 2-3 for throughout the season, starters got more. We had 1 "practice warrior" one, for the player who was the best during practice that week, and we had a small red hammer, for the player who caused the hardest hit/tackle/block during the week.
