Dolphins Low-Balling Matt Flynn in Negotiations

    Yahoo!'s Jason Cole tweets
Matt Flynn still wants to sign with the Dolphins, but the team is low-balling the offer, thinking he'll take it just to play for Philbin.
Could backfire because the Seahawks have interest in him and plenty of cap room to offer a better contract.

By low-balling, I imagine them offering a realistic contract, and not some huge deal that he hasn't quite yet earned.

I think Flynn would be a solid fit in Miami. Hoping they can come to an mutually agreeable contract.

How do you low ball a guy who has 2 career starts?

Im sure hes looking for that Kolb-esque 63m+ contract. Hes probably being "low balled" by a real offer.

It's already been said, but I am sure Flynn is like 10 BILLION DOLLAZ BIATCH. And Miami is like, lol no.

In other news, former Dolphins QB Chad Henne is still low-balling every intended WR.

Would he really be that much of an upgrade over Moore?

worth more than kolb because kolb had to learn a brand new offense.

Flynn is worth at least as much as Kolb. at the very least, you can't blame his agent for starting from there in negotiations ; he's superior to Kolb in every way, both before and after the contract.

you also can't blame his agent for leaking this "lowball" story to the press.

Kevin Kolb sucks balls, of course Matt Flynn is worth more. But Kolb was waaaaay overpaid, so teams should still Flynn him less money.

thats obvious, he's worth more than Kolb, but then again, you could look at it this way...

Kolb had one injury riddled season in a system he knew absolutely nothing about with a coach that sucks at coaching young players and a defense that couldnt stop a beer botttle with a screw on cap.

like it or not, Kolb, Matt Schaub, and Matt Cassel are the baseline for Flynn's deal, and if they are offering less than those guys, they ARE lowballing, regardless of the results.

Seems like a completely neutral football fan giving his opinion.
