Another big commit for ND
Notre Dame fans woke up to some good news Thursday morning after McDonough (Ga.) defensive end Isaac Rochell made it public that he had committed to Notre Dame.
"It is rare that you find a top school with the perfect combination of academics and football, but Notre Dame is one of those," Rochell told Scout. "I like the coaches, the players, their business school, and in the end, I just felt like Notre Dame was my home."
The 6-foot-5, 245-pounder picked Notre Dame over Florida State and held numerous offers. Ranked 61st overall in the country, Rochell is another talented defensive lineman headed to South Bend and is already excited about joining a very good class so far.
"I feel like the 2013 class can be very special with guys like Mike Heuerman, Jaylon Smith, and other top recruits already committed," Rochell said. "I feel like Notre Dame has all their ducks in a row to get where they want to go."
Rochell is the Irish's 14th commitment for the class of 2013 and fourth top 100 member in the fold. As a junior, he had 97 tackles and seven sacks last season.Comment

I heard some scrub linebacker and a couple of 2014 players recently committed.

Pretty much what I expected to come from the Rees situation:
Tommy Rees has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges stemming from his May arrest. The Irish quarterback, who was originally charged with battery charges against a police officer, had the two most serious charges against him dropped, while pleading guilty to underage drinking and resisting arrest.Comment

Predict our record:
Navy (W)
- I think it's possible we'll overlook Navy with all the fanfare of going overseas, but in the end we will come out on top. An entire summer to prepare for the triple option is helpful, and our defense has shut it down the past few times against it.
Purdue (W)
- Let's be honest, fuck Purdue and everything to do with that school.
@ Michigan State (L)
- Night game in East Lansing. Here's where the season starts going south.
Michigan (L)
- How epic would it be if both teams came in undefeated? Night in South Bend. Two top ten (maybe fifteen) teams coming back from the dead. This game has College Gameday potential. UM could be ranked in the top five if they beat Alabama as well. The winner of this game will be crowned as "back" in the college football landscape (if both are undefeated). In the end, ND probably loses....by 4...with under 10 seconds left. :denarded:
Miami (W)
- Cool game at Soldier Field. The U is down. I don't think they're very good. We beat them with a worse team in the Sun Bowl. We win.
Stanford (L)
- After a step forward with vs. Miami, we'll take the typical Brian Kelly two-steps-back here against Stanford. The offense will have been figured out by now, and Stanford will shut it down.
BYU (W)
- Possibly overlooking with a trip to Norman the week after, but we'll win comfortably.
Oklahoma (L)
- We don't stand a chance in hell.
Pittsburgh (W)
- Pitt sucks. ND has a knack for beating Pitt lately in football and basketball. Trend continues (Pitty sucks).
@ Boston College (W)
- BC is bad. Bad bad bad.
Wake Forest (W)
- At home, this is a win. Possible loss on the road.
@ USC (L)
- They will shit on our chests just like Carroll used to.
Final Record: 7-5
I said 6-6 on page one of this thread so we'll lose a game in there somewhere.Comment
