And wtf, he told us #'s of the contract, why can't he figure out if he'll be highest paid or not?

ESPN, Yahoo and Fox Sports are not reporting anything yet, so I'm doubting this report.

Nader works for NFLNetwork and has reported shit in the past. I'd say its a done deal.

His deal will be done by Monday afternoon and he will likely become the highest paid player in NFL history.

Good for him. I'm sure he'll continue to give back to the community by opening more chain restaurants in residential neighborhoods.

It's good to see the new CBA is still not preventing contracts that make you laugh.

Very good QB over the past few years. Going down in history, at any point int time, as being the highest paid player ever in NFL history...LOL.

0-3 road playoff record and 5-4 all time in the postseason = highest paid player in NFL history.

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Rapelisberger & Eli Manning better call their agents.

I mean, he's never won a road playoff game. Think about that.

Joe Flacco is trying to score his first big contract to follow his mediocre rookie deal. I'm no Flacco lover, but the guy has made the playoffs every year of his career and has a 5-4 record with 4 road playoff wins. ya know, after this Brees contract I just might understand where Flacco's camp is coming from on the money they are looking for.

And let's be fair, Flacco should have been playing in the Super Bowl last season. The ball hit the WR directly in the hands.

It's sort of tough to compare and contrast QBs for their playoff success and figure out how they should be rewarded. Flacco is my QB, but no one in their right mind would rate him over Brees. You take Brees off of the Saints and they probably win 5 games.....this is the basis for him wanting to be paid. Flacco is probably worth about 2-3 wins.

Eh, I want to see how Flacco progresses this season, because they've wanted to air it out for some time so I want to see the progression of things. But Brees, unlike Flacco, has proven he can take over games and win with his arm, and not rely on a strong rushing attack combined with a great defense.
