Andrew Luck looks great to me. I really enjoyed watching him play the Steelers.
Uh no. He hasn't even played a real game yet ffs.
So, metaphorically speaking, our physiology basically has the universe mapped out and you're thinking it needs to be taught addition & subtraction.

I agree. I'd take him over at least 20 NFL Qb's right now. It sort of reminds me of LeBron James came into the league and it was obvious that he was an extremelly talented player that just needed time. In a few years I expect the debate fr the best QB in the league to be between Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck.

Don't be the "oh, it's just the preason" guy.........Luck is going to be great. Much like LeBron James he will live up to and exceed the predraft hype.

But it is just the preseason. So my caring level on a 100 point scale is somewhere around 10. Maybe 20 since he's a rookie. I wasn't paying attention to Cavs vs Bucks exhibition action in 2003, either.

I don't think the idea of people saying "it's just the preseason" is to knock or deny Luck's ability. I think the idea is that people don't feel like a screen pass in a preseason game should be big time news.

W2B, the way i see it your last sentence pretty much did diminish his preseason work and ability imo. Bottling it all up to a screen pass...? C'mon man.

He started awful vs the Steelers. First 3 drives, 0 points, 2/8 for 16 yards and a pick 6 to Ike Taylor.

He then turned that around on his final 3 drives going 14/17 leading his team to 2 TD's and 1 FG.

The Steelers were not playing a "vanilla" defense either. They were bringing classic Dick Lebeau zone blitzes at him.

You mean ESPN wasn't running Vegas Summer League highlights in A-block? Huh, weird.

But I wasn't talking about the Steeler game. I was talking about the Rams game the week before, which was the lead story on SportsCenter, on a loaded sports day, because "OMG ANDREW LUCK THREW A TD ON HIS FIRST PASS"....which was a screen pass that traveled about two yards in the air.

I don't even think that's news, let alone gigantic lead story news on a loaded Sunday. I mean, it's a quirky footnote or something I guess, idk.

Football is not baskeball. A lot of factors go into a qb playing well that aren't in his control.

I think it was his whole body of work that day, not just a 2 yard screen pass.

And I think ESPN does some stupid ass shit now, but Andrew Luck's first pro game is probably a bigger deal to the casual sports fan than August baseball, Rory McIlroy and NASCAR.
