Rome sucks donkey dick as well.

On the subject of Cowherd having an opinion on something that is "original" or "pretty good"....."original" in my history of listening to him means it's retarded and just flat out off the reservation stupid...and "pretty good" usually meant it was so basic that even Maynard could understand it.

It doesnt matter if its world, state, local, news or sports media....its all the same BULLSHIT! They are all trying to get more people to tune into their broadcast in anyway they can.

        case in point
Derek Jeter today laughed off insinuations by Skip Bayless of ESPN's "First Take" that his excellent 2012 season was the result of using performance-enhancing drugs.

if after listening to that you are still defending the media in any way you should be shot

Game Show Network if they have $100,000 Pyramid reruns.

I don't really listen to Cowherd, but what I've heard has been beyond terrible. I used to listen to Rome just because he was a jerk...it wasn't really for his sports insight. I can understand Skip Bayliss' schtick because he is basically playing devil's advocate on all sports-related topics. I haven't really figured out Cowherd's angle, though. Its like he used to follow sports so he can talk the talk, but he doesn't really follow sports anymore so his "insight" is similar to a random poster on a team message board. One time he had Wilbon on and they were debating who would get the next Olympics after the Brazil 2016, and Wilbon said it had to be a US city because the US hasn't hosted an Olympics since 1984. Come on...someone at ESPN has a brain, right? Where is that person?

So, metaphorically speaking, our physiology basically has the universe mapped out and you're thinking it needs to be taught addition & subtraction.

Somebody called up and complained, so in typical Cowherd fashion he ran the guy down and basically said, and im paraphrasing in my best Colin Cowherd:

"Listen buddy, we have very smart people who work here, and we know what hooks listeners & viewers. We get company directives handed to us every morning detailing what to talk about based on what research tells. We aren't going to sit here and break down games, Lebron is THE story, we are going to talk about Lebron. When Favre is THE story we are going to talk about Favre. Normal people don't listen all day like you do in your moms basement, most of our listeners are smart people, professionals, who listen for ten minutes in the car, blah blah blah typical troll Cowherd stuff"

Jets, apparently, are THE story right now. And Cowherd has no professional credibility. He's a corporate chump who gets handed his directive every morning, and finds his troll angle. Cowherd is a fun listen sometimes, but it's obvious he isn't in this to be a great sportstalk host, he's in this to become the biggest star he can possibly be. Shit, he essentially admits that. Cowherd talks about Lebron, Kobe, CFB, NFL, Tiger, Tebow 90% of the time. He admits on air, that the only baseball team he will watch/follow is the Yankees. Sound familiar?
I've listened to his show a handful of times over the last few months, and it's exactly how you've explained it. There is literally no talk about anything other than the subjects you listed. There was maybe one time where baseball was even discussed out of the dozen times I listened to him, and that was basically having one of the baseball guys just talk for 10 minutes and Colin chime in with some prepared question. I was using that TuneIn radio app and have since never listened to that shit again. I still have trouble finding any sort of baseball talk but the local guys will discuss it a few times during their time block. I even found myself listening to old podcasts for MLB news just to give me something to listen to that wasn't discussing Tebow, Lebron, Tiger, the Knicks, etc.
