Don't worry Troy... You almost had as good of a career as Warrick Dunn
Notice Fran Tarkenton and his position? Hell yeah

What criteria are they using that Starr is close to 160? Can't take this seriously.

How much weight do they give to playoffs vs regular season. Go look at Starr's playoff numbers. He's not 160ish on a list. Sorry can't take the list seriously. Regular season gets you to the playoffs, but for me, post season play trumps regular season play.

That's why I wouldn't have Favre on the top of an all time career list. Again, I can't take this list seriously.

I don't think anyone does. Football SABR stats are pretty much useless.

That said didn't Bart Starr play when there were only like 12 teams? Were the negroes even allowed to play back then?

only 12 teams means better/tighter competition

The profootballreference FanEloRater is not any kind of "SABR" metric, it's a stupid fan generated ranking. Anybody can vote, just click the vote link, and you will be presented with a pair of players. Pick the one you think is "better", and they are given points while the "loser" is deducted points. That's how players move up and down the list.

It started on the baseballreference site, where it works much better because players are more easily comparable. How the hell are you supposed to compare a QB to LT or a K to a SS? It's stupid, it doesn't work, and the rankings are wacky.

Just thought I'd add some guys to your lists.
Aaron is pretty close. But those 3 had uncanny accuracy and releases.
Agreed on Starr his postseason numbers are sick.

It pains me to say this ... but I agree with Steeljake, I don't see Aikman as an elite qb. But I also don't see him as overrated.

He had a great career and won Super Bowls.

Pretty amazing what a team thrashing your favorite team for years will do to your perception.

An Eagles, Steeler, and Viking fan calling Aikman overrated. Whoulda thunk it. Combined 0-4 during the 90s playoffs would probably sour me on praise also.

Where are people rating him that hes overrated ?

Hes the winningest QB of the decade he played. 3 superbowl rings 11-4 playoff record , SB MVP and a first ballot HOF inductee. Anyone not saying elite needs there head examined.

Second to players using Twitter, "Expert" football analyst debating who's "Elite" and who's not is my least favorite trend in the NFL right now.

What happened to Brees, Rodgers, and Brady? They represent majority of the Mount Rushmore of QB's and can't even get a mention on Kurt Warner's top 5 QB's of the week. Not a good look for their Hall of Fame resumes.

Oh, you caught us. We're hating on Aikman because of our teams. Get real, dude.

It's convenient to say elite equals winning when you've got the the second best line around you, the leading rusher of all time, one of the greatest wr's of all time, one of the greater fullbacks of all time, and a top 10 defense of all time. Hell, he even had a pro bowl tight end.

If he could only manage an 81.6 qb rating with the Cowboys then you know damn well it'd be even worse, much worse, with another team. He holds records for having low qb ratings in the superbowl with arguably the greatest dynasty. He simply cannot do what he did without that team and to think otherwise has no backing.
