Anyways SB wins are a differentiator not a creator of elite QBs. One should know the difference between a QB who is asked to win games the other who is asked not to lose games. Not only for a single game but over the course of a season and playoff run.

Brady as the asked to win games QB: 0-2

And that was one game, a game you could argue that they only got to because of his play in the two previous games. The Big Ben argument is silly because he did a lot for the Steelers over the course of that entire season that got them into the position where they could win that SB. Big Ben's poor SB =\= Trent Dilfer basically just being there for half of the Ravens season (a season which featured one of the historically greatest defenses of all time).

Yes I know on a comparitive level, there are better athletes and QB technicians then others.
But to downplay and mock the accomplishment of being the QB of A Super Bowl winning team is very childish. Being a long term starting QB in the NFL is a difficult task and accomplishment no matter the level of play you accomplish over time. It doesnt matter whether its 10 years of being a Joe Montana or 5 Years of Being A Dilfer. Being A QB and leading a team to SB is obviously a hard accomplishment and many factors need to be right and ready for it to happen.

That said, I'm pretty sure the Aikman quote is about Flacco...

The replacement refs are passable.
They are good enough.
The regular refs are terrible and the replacements are not much different than the regulars.

Aikman could have put up better numbers, but he saw the big picture. Aikman wasn't a place holder, he was a team leader that made clutch throws when he had to. But he saw the big picture and the best way to win championships. I don't think Troy was Dan Marino, but Aikman was still an elite QB. He was smart, accurate as hell, and could make the clutch throws. And I HATE the Cowboys.

I'm not about to mention every QB that has won something but believe that 1 side of the ball was extremely dominate. You don't make it deep in the playoffs with a terrible offensive line.

Its a great accomplishment. You are elite no matter what because you played a major part in doing it. Marino had great stats and is elite but its all relative in the end And Dilfer did his job and got a ring. And you cant make some lame anyone can do it argument. What about backups who win the superbowl? Like Brady's first one for instance. Bledsoe lead them through the entire season and the start of the playoffs. Brady essentially played 5qtrs. Are they both elite? Is only Brady? If so why not Bledsoe? He lead them there
