Not only did Larry Fedora take them to four straight bowl games, but Southern Miss has been to a bowl every year since 1997. They have also had a winning record every year since 1994. If they decided to go with Alford at QB from the start and not have a 3-man QB battle in camp they would be better.

Hardcore college question: what happened to Southern Miss? They used to be a tough mid-level team that no one wanted to play. They've been terrible this year (although they are favored this weekend against UAB in possibly the worst game of the NCAA season). Did they get bad all of the sudden? Do they have a new coach?Comment
