Greg McElroy To Start For Jets

    Rotoworld

Jets announced Greg McElroy as the Week 16 starter versus the Chargers.

The coaching staff was reportedly concerned with the potential fallout from passing over Tim Tebow, but they decided to stick with football over publicity. One option discussed was splitting duties between the two quarterbacks, with McElroy starting but Tebow mixed in more liberally in zone-read/Wildcat looks. Even without the threat of Tebow stealing snaps, McElroy isn't a fantasy option in the Jets' talent-starved run-heavy offense.

Good. Don't want Tebow any more associated with this mess of a team.

Side note I'm tired of this tebow shit and if there's one thing good to come out of this, it's that Rex really slowed down this fascination of tebow by rendering him irrelevant this season. His best plays have come out of punt protection...he hasn't done anything but slow this team down (and I realize he's been out in horrible situations...)...he's even worse than Sanchez in scanning the field...just cut this shit out

Rex Ryan has killed Tebowmania which I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

This team is the laughing stock of the NFL, and rightfully so. What a mess of an organization.

Next domino in Jets QB situation: Tim Tebow will request to be traded/released after season assuming McElroy starts last 2 games, per source

I doubt they could get anything in a trade so my guess is he'll be released and won't even get signed anywhere. And then Tebowmania will take over the CFL.

Nah, there will be teams jumping to sign him.
