It would be awesome if Ray Lewis was suspended from playing in the Superbowl and then they lost. One can dream.

In cycling your battling a clock , in baseball its all about numbers.
In football that shit is secondary. People dont watch for times and stat lines they (used to) watch to see people hit each other while a handful do there best to circumvent the hitting.
NFL is decades past its drug drama as they implemented and outlawed testing awhile ago. If Ray Lewis had just broken the hollowed tackle record or defeated arm cancer maybe things would be different here.

Which is why I'm really uncomfortable with the villainizing of baseball cheaters and the relatively shrug everyone gives football. I mean, I get that they are two different sports or whatever and I get all the reasoning but it seems REALLY unfair to treat baseball's cheaters like some type of cretin criminals while anyone caught in football is basically "eh, well, whatever."

I acknowledge the hypocrisy. I do. However you have to look at the individuals as it really IMO isnt about the drugs themselves.

McGwire pleading the 5th after acting like mr clean.
Palmeiro pointing a finger like a douche.
Bonds spending his career being a Fn A-hole.

Like in the other thread..how can you not villify them. If a narcissist like Canseco ends up being the "good guy" whistle blow you know shit is bad.

When you look at guys who've gotten popped before in the NFL it really is who gives a shit because theyre who gives a shit guys. Boston , Merriman , etc ..seems like comparing apples to oranges in terms of the individuals. Let someone dig up that Barry Sanders and Jerry Rice were roiding and see the shit storm that ensues.

Professional athletes using PED's. I'm shocked.

ESPN's main concern should be whether or not Lewis' drooling will ruin their sound equipment.

This was on ESPN comments and made me laugh:

Shine headlights in Lewis's eyes to make him freeze

If Lewis used this just to play this season, I don't care. He just wanted to retire as an active player, I'm ok with that.
