It's a brand new GM and head coach, why take a gamble like this when you first get there? Not only take a gamble, but do it with the worst QB possible just to hopefully fill some seats. How about build the team the right way which they are starting to do with Caldwell, that's what brings fans. Gabbert is still only 23 years old and this will be his third offense in three years. You give him the chance. He's the "hey if it doesn't work, we dump him and draft a QB" not Tebow. Tebow is just a circus who would distract this young team and would not do any better than what we have. And for once I agree with JimLeavy, it was a shit post.
Tebow to the Patriots

What have the Jags done this off-season to be anything but what they currently are? Boring, 5 or 6 wins, Gabbo at QB (maybe) or Chad Henne (likely) with 25,000 empty seats a game. BORING.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Count me in the camp that thinks Gabbert is fucking terrible, but Tebow is also fucking terrible. Jags GMs have every reason to stay the course and build sensibly from the ground up and have faith in the process. A one-off experimental year would be reckless and doesn't guarantee you anything long term. Tebow is probably not ever going to be a sustainable option for a team to build on for multiple years.Comment

Jacksonville had better attendance than 12 other teams most notable the Bears,Steelers, and the Vikings.Comment

Where's Nukeleopatra? I need him to come predict Tebow will never win a SB, so I can go put $100.00 bucks down on the Patriots to win the SB right now!sigpicComment

Tebow won't be a QB for the Patriots. He won't start a day at QB. When he does line up in the backfield, he won't be throwing the ball.
LOL at some of you bragging about "calling" this. Like it was some great prediction that nobody saw. He will line up at bullshit positions and contribute little to nothing.
Probably won't get much PT and I can easily see him getting released after 1 season. Trying to make news out of nothing. Let's at least wait and see if Tebow actually does anything before praising the Patriots and Belicheck for signing him. My gut says he won't do much.
Hoping they just put his ass at fullback though in goalline situations and give him dives, that's the best thing he could possibly be used for.

lol at Len hating because we have a Tim Tebow thread even though he's gonna be a 3rd stringer/spot player.
We have a Jamarcus Russell thread... a guy who has no chance of being on a teams opening 53 come september.

I'm just excited that Tebow got signed and didn't wind up going unsigned. Can't wait to see exactly how the Patriots use him.Comment

Tebow is third string and they won't be using that wildcat bullshit. So basically the same position he was in on the Jets.Last edited by JimLeavy59; 06-11-2013, 09:13 AM.Comment

He will run qb sneaks for Brady and I can see them faking the qb sneak to isolate Gronk with the fake sneak jump pass. That will be in 3rd or 4th and short situations only, other than that he won't be taking snaps at QB.Comment

Tebow signs a 2 year contract with no guaranteed money.
Sure sounds like a guy the Patriots are going to put in for Tom Brady to score touchdowns.Comment
