Johnny Manziel Wowing Them at Manning Camp

Peyton was a class act giving him the benefit of a doubt since Eli must have done the same thing at age 20 but Manziel has to get his act together soon. This guy is an ongoing train wreck, getting into fights in bars, posting asinine shit on Twitter, alienating the entire A&M fan base, etc. His parents line about having to go home due to dehydration is probably true. Heavy alcohol consumption does cause dehydration and they are just enabling his behavior and hoping to ca$h in when their son gets drafted in a few years. -

Unfortunately, when you're the starting QB for a top football team and won the Heisman on top of it...you are held to a different set of standards.
When you are invited to and accept to go to the Manning Passing Academy, its like going to an internship...you don't show up wasted to what is essentially, job training.Comment

I agree...

Hopefully this is a wake up call and he's better able to differentiate when the right time to let loose is.

He should enjoy it because if he becomes a 3rd string QB during his pro career (he will get drafted), no team is going to put up with his act. He'll be legal age, so he can drink all he wants but they won't keep him for the DUI he would probably get as a 3rd string. If he's lucky to be #1....no problem at least for his first 3 arrests.Comment

I can't wait for when our Heisman winner plays hard, doesn't get in trouble, goes to church and wins titles. Everyone would love that guy.Comment

They spent all of 2012 building him up...he is now the "best" player in college football.
Time to bring him back down to earth.
Its the way of the world, especially sports and sports coverage. They build you up until you're on top, and then when you're on top, its time to come down.Comment
