The system he plays in isn't conducive to a transition to the NFL, he's small for any QB especially for a running QB, his arm strength leaves a lot to be desired as well. He shows good accuracy and precision on the short and intermediate throws but so did Matt Barkley. If you look at it right now all things considered Barkley was a better pro prospect than what Manziel looks to be right now. If Barkley was a 4th round pick then I can't see Manziel going before the 6th. I've also heard he has off the field questions.
Guess what, Colt Brennan played some really good college football too.

Why are we reluctant to look at where he may be drafted after his freshman year? Hasn't Manziel said he plans to come out after this season....

Besides what does "worse" mean? Worse college QB? That means little to nothing when translating these QBs game to the NFL.Comment

Your reading comprehension is painfully terrible.
The point is that they are both great college QBs so to say Barkley is "worse" than Manziel so its foolish to cite Barkley when judging Manziel is stupid. Thats black and white thinking and its retarded. Manziel is a better college QB so he must be drafted higher. Mmkay.
My argument is what I posted. The only thing I compared between them was their ability to throw short and intermediate passes with great success. But if you want to go further Barkley has the physical look of an NFL QB while Manziel is small... really small and durability should be an obvious concern at his size when you add in he's a running QB as well not to mention he'll have the obstacle of having to see over the line and find passing lanes. To me it looks like he was a weaker arm than Barkley which was criticism of Barkley going into the draft. If you compare them and use Barkley as a reference then I don't see how Manziel looks like a first round pick.
Instead of an intelligent rebuttal you say no Manziels better. Ok I guess you got me then. Case closed.Comment

Being a "great" college QB means squat when guys like Jason White and Colt Brennan were considered some of the best and flamed out pretty quickly in the pros. So citing Manziel being a "better" college QB as a reason why a Barkley-Manziel comparison is invalid is retarded.
