      Why?

He's perfect for ESPN. All he does is shill NFL, NBA, Tiger Woods, and CFB. Nobody hit Tebow & LeBron harder. He was made for ESPN, he admits on the air he's all about the hot topicz and nothing else.

Does anyone else remember when the NFL killed that show ESPN had about a fictitious NFL team with a gay QB? I think it was called playmakers...

This has become way bigger than a concussion issue should and it's making the players and league look bad.

The players want more money. They go broke because they spend all their money and don't know what to do so they figure they can probably get some money from the NFL with this concussion issue.

Not saying they all are or that even most of are doing this but I think that's a big reason as to why this issue has generated more attention than it probably should.

The NFL offers a of resources for players to take care of them. The guys sign up to play and get paid to do it.

This is like me working for a construction company and then suing them for a bad back after I retire.

Summary of NFL PLayer Benefits (not sure if this is up to date):

No its more like the construction company giving you shitty materials to work with and you get hurt and sue.

Granted I doubt a pretty boy like you would ever work in construction.

                  shitty materials?

These men know the risks, and a very tiny fraction of them have debilitating head issues. Don't buy the hype on this.

Yeah because the NFL has done so much to make sure these players use the best helmets.

I'd argue wearing helmets to begin with is the problem, if there even is one.

Anyway, I'd say the helmets are fine, considering less than 1% of ex-NFL players and probably less than .000000001% of all people who have played football have serious brain issues.

The NFL has spent a lot of money towards researching this and they are going to make the game safer as technology improves and time goes by.

It's not going to happen over night.

"The better protection the helmet provides, sometimes the more likely (players) are to use their head, and that's a dilemma that we have to change, in part through rules," Goodell said. "But I also see that we could potentially change the helmet by making it lighter. (That) would make it less of a weapon."

And then we'll just have more people like JimLeavy and players complaining about how Gooddell is ruining the NFL.

These guys sign up for this shit and they get paid appropriately.

Newsflash - Football is a dangerous sport.

That's why you sign on the dotted line.

Interesting to see some of the players suing the NFL:

Football was a lot safer with leather helmets

You would see a lot of missing teeth and maybe a few eyeballs poked out, but at least they'd have their brains in tact..i guess.

                                15. Harold Jackson, WR: Made five Pro Bowls over 17 seasons with five teams.

Hmm. Head issues. This explains so much.
