Facts only bruh. I love playing elite competish, just wish it was standard for everybody. Looking forward to matching up with Florida's D in two weeks, Mississippi State is such a opponent coming off such an exciting slugfest.

I understand but it will sound like an excuse to many no matter how it really is.

Talking about conference schedules here, obviously. Florida and Georgia > Kentucky and Tennessee.

As for the OOC, LSU's track record is pretty strong in that department. Especially compared to the Gumps.

By now you're probably well-versed in the Zach Mettenberger homecoming angle from last Saturday's Georgia-LSU game. You might even be tired of it.But considering the circumstances surrounding the game -- his return to play against the program he grew up cheering for, where his mother still works, despite his having been kicked off Georgia's team in 2010 following an offseason arrest -- LSU's quarterback is a no-brainer as the SEC's top performer on Saturday.

Guess they forgot to consult the experts.

Any SEC fans complaining about Bama's conference schedule should have told their coaches to actually support the 9 game schedule. That is the only way the schedules would start to approach being equal. Instead it was Saban being the lone coach to support it.

The 8 game schedule is not why Georgia was removed from Bama's schedule and added to LSU's. Also not why Ole Miss had to travel to Tuscaloosa two years in a row. And the primary reason the schedules are unequal to begin with is the permanent opponent format which was created to appease Bama and Tennessee (with Georgia-Auburn being the only other historical rivalry protected by the system).

Lastly, it has never been publicized which coaches are in favor and which are against the 9-game format, a few coaches gave commentary on it at media days but the actual discussions took place behind closed doors. As a fan, I'm all for it, but from what I have heard it's a pretty divisive issue.

Vandy and Kentucky are, somewhat understandably, less enthused than others. Another hold up for some programs is that the 5-4 home/away set up would just create whole other set of inequities. Would also make OOC scheduling difficult in years you have 5 away games in conference. Most programs want at least 7 home games, if not 8, for revenue purposes.
