Week 9 NFL random thoughts

This is a stunning display. Really glad I passed on that game (although it was in favor of the barnburder Steelers/Raiders game). I was saying in the chatbox, I don't even know the rules anymore. There are no rules, as far as I can tell. I watched Vick get pretty much punched in the head, no call. Meanwhile, a Steeler defender has already been called for a penalty for this coming Steelers/Pats game because he thought about maybe breathing on Brady.

And don't forget, you can be running with the ball and as soon as any of the ball crosses the imaginable plane of the white line in the endzone it can be fumbled at will without consequence. But God forbid you catch the ball in the endzone, way past the imaginable plane, land with two feet, and lose the ball after hitting the ground and rolling over once or twice.

Yeah...I would definitely promote less rules/penalties. Quicker games and less ref involvement but I think the league has gone so far the other way it will be impossible to go back.

I do think the teaching of the young kids to not aim for the head of another player will pay off.

Giants are winning that division, that game aint a gimme. Watch them go on a run. It's classic NY football Giants

Rams ran the ball extremely well all game. Then they get to the 2 and start going 5 wide. They tried to run once with little ass Richardson because Stacy got banged up and he got stuffed.

No playaction, only running once when you have a back up qb who is afraid to throw the ball? Terrible play calling.

Feel bad for the rams D cuz they played so well.

Dave's not wrong about the Chiefs and they will be coming back down to earth soon. They are going to lose 3 of their next 4 including @ Buffalo this Sunday and then they will have to finish the season with several road games. 11-5/10-6 then bounced out in the 1st round of the playoffs. That's a good season for them but they still might be "the worst 8-0 team ever."

Oddly, I told a guy a work Tuesday ... Bills are gonna upset Chiefs. LOL. Not 100% sure of that, but I honestly believe Kansas City is in trouble vs. Buffalo.
