From making $5.4 milion a season to between $7-7.5 million. Not bad Saban, not bad at all.

That Texas jerb opened up at the right time. Most people knew it was just a ploy to get a raise. Kudos to Saban. Play on playa.

amateur athletics ? he gets 7 mil and the kids get nothing for making him famous.

...theres no population big enough in a city in Alabama to start a pro team ?

If anything, we need less teams.

Why would they need one? The SEC is already the best pro football league in America.

Nowhere close. Besides that region is 100% about college football. A pro team, especially one with no history, would get very little support. Same goes for places like Nebraska and Oklahoma.

To varying degrees, the Falcons, Saints, Dolphins, Bucs and Jags all take a back seat to the local college teams. That's just how they do it down souf.

On what planet do the Saints and Dolphins take a back seat to LSU and the Canes?

                        Stop.

In Louisiana LSU trumps the Saints. This is 100% true. Don't know shit about bandwagon people from Florida who just started liking Miami again

In regards to NCAA football teams trumping NFL teams. No fucking way. If so, fuck.

NCAA basketball teams trumping NBA? I can see this happening.
