Brandon Lloyd was a trade, not a free agent acquisition.
I don't think Jackson is going to bust, and even if he does, I don't think it compares to any on that list. All of them received big money contracts in their era, Jackson's is tame in comparison.
I would actually move Jeff George higher on that list. Not only did they pay him for one season of good play, but they decided Brad Johnson wasn't going to be the starter and they sent him to the Bucs, where he won a Super Bowl.Comment

Given the choice, I'd take Jackson and his contract over any of those.Comment

The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"Comment

No. There's some rule in the NFL that if you change your name/number you have to buy up all the jerseys that are currently out in the market. So, RGIII (or really Jackson) would have to buy up the rest of his unsold jerseys. Nobody is going to pay millions for that.Comment

Jeff George should be #2, right behind Fat Albert.
its a decent chunk of money but i bet its the $16mil bonus that out-bid the other teams. i am sure the $24mil 3-yr deal is in the ball park of the other teams that had interest. thats not really an obsurd amount.3rd & 14, inside your own 15, up 6, 3:20min left to go = call a PA Pass and Cancel. *its Legit, so no needless complainingComment
