      Not so bad.

I Actually hope Cutler does well...

The Coach fucked up in the first place, didn't make it any better in the interview. and even though Cutler could have been more mature about it, it isn't 100% on him.

I hope he does well in Chicago, I really do, but in reality, odds are like a poster said above me, that more then likely, his career will be filled with mediocrity.

Some of you aren't getting it. Cutler won't have to put up huge numbers in Chicago. All he will need to do is move the football and take care of the football and provide some leadership on offense. Chicago's defense and special teams will do the rest.

Obviously he will have to win some games for them if they want to be Super Bowl champs, but all in all, for the Bears to make the playoffs each year they don't need to rely on Cutler alone . They have the pieces in place.

It seems people forget we got to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman and no offense a few years ago. The Defense really hasnt changed that much.. better offense helps the defense. Jay Cutler is a legitimate QB that can keep the offense on the field by moving the ball. He doesnt have to be a star.. and in Chicago if he carries the team to the playoffs, he will be like a God in the city.

I think Orton will have to compete for a job with whoever McDaniels come in to compete with him. He'll probably win, too. Orton isnt a bad QB, his upside is just limited and he sometimes struggles to move the ball down-field for a number of series' in a row, which is very tough on a defense. And with Denver's defense it'll be even tougher. Broncos fans should be happy to go .500 again next year.

Wow, Bears gave up a ton to get him. I'm glad it wasn't the Lions giving up all of this to get Cutler. I'll have fun watching him torch our secondary.

The Bears did give up alot but time will be judge of that. If gets the Bears into the playoffs year in and out (throw in some divisional champs) and win a Superbowl...it will be all worth it. :2thumbs:

For the record, I think the Packers are in better shape than the Bears and will win the division next year. And I also think Rodgers is a better overall QB than Cutler.

Fuck me, of all places to go, the F'ing NFC North. Next time Snyder(Redskins owner) needs to pull the trigger on the damn trade.

Im the biggest Bear hater of all time, me being a Packer fan and all. But i have to give credit where credit is due, besides the fact that the Bears leading receiver was their RB this year, they have a great chance to make the playoffs. They still can get a good receiver, in the 2nd round, this year and next. For this years draft Percy Harvin, Kenny Brit, Darrius Heyward-Bey, and Hakeem Nicks could be available to them.

I dont see the Packers doing that well this year. I hate the move to th 3-4, and i hate Kampman moving positions even more, he is our best DE and we moved him to OLB. I would love to see them trade their 1st round pick to Carolina for Peppers, he said that he wants to play in a 3-4 system at the OLB position.

Depending on how this next season goes The Bears might be an elite team. If they can get a decent WR in the second round this could seriously be a big contender in the NFC North and the rest of the NFC.

The Bears really did give up a ton to get Cutler. I kind of thought it odd that the Broncos would want Kyle Orton...I guess they need a QB now that Cutler's gone, but asking for Orton in the trade seems to me that Denver is agreeable with having Orton as their starter now.

The Bears defense is nothing special, and their WR corps is easily the worst in the NFL. Now that they traded away their draft picks, I don't know how they are going to acquire a Crabtree/Harvin/Nicks type WR in the draft. I think if they can't get a bona-fide WR prospect in the draft, then Jerry Angelo will be unable to find a good WR in the later rounds.

That said, I didn't think guys like Brandon Marshall (Mr. Dropsies) and Eddie Royal were all that great, so perhaps Cutler will make good players out of whomever the Bears have at WR.
