Denver made out like bandits in this deal. They have two first rounders over the next two years, they'll at least have a game manager in Kyle Orton. They can address some major defensive needs in the first round alone of this year, then get their QB of the future next year.

Of course they don't want Cutler making shit headed decisions but they also don't want him to be a game manager. They brought him in to make plays, something he has proved he can do at a very high level.

Cutler will not be asked to "simply manage the game" he will be asked to be the Pro Bowl QB the Bears brought in and paid a high price for.

If the Bears wanted a QB to "manage" the game they would have kept Orton and not giving up 2 1st rounders.
I was qouting were somebody else said "you guys dont understand , all he has to do is manage the game" and i was saying this simply wont be the case.

Orton's biggest weakness is his deep ball.......................

No shit? Really? Maybe I was expanding on your thought. Did I say anywhere that I disagreed with you?

Peria Jerry would be horrible in a 3-4. The Broncos don't need an ILB. If they take a LB at 18 it will be Clint Sintim.

As far as QBs go, I'm fine with Sanchez at 12, but if we trade up to get him...

I'm sure you will at some point in the draft. If not in Rd 1 then down the road in the later rounds. McDaniels, like Belicheck, is a big believer in molding late round QB's with some tools. But maybe that's what he sees in Orton.

So I just heard that Jay Cutler was committed to U of Illinois until Ron Turner pulled his scholarship from him right before commitment time. Now hes coming back to Ron Turner as his Offensive Coordinator. I hope theres no negative looming feelings there.

I wouldn't worry, it's not like Cutler has thrown a new coach under the bus before.

Not really worried because Cutler named Chicago and Tennessee as his two preferred locations for a trade according to his agent and I'm sure Cutler knew Turner was OC at Chicago.

Plus, Turner did him a favor by turning him away at U of I. Illinois was horrible in Cutler's years at school so he should show up to Halas Hall with a gift basket.

Orton completed one pass thrown over 30 yards last season...

He was just asked about it during the press conference and he laughed about it. No big deal there.

Sanchez better drop for us, doesnt Orton have like a 1 yr contract? groom Sanchez under Orton (god that sounds terrible lol) then let Orton walk and have Sanchez have the team.

btw still havent decided what to do with my Cutler jersey yet, primetime says i could have it changed, but not 100% sure, was thinking of adding a N into it and taking some letters off if you know what i mean, haha

I dont understand why last year and this offseason all the talk about the Bears was about a weakness at the quarterback position. The analysts said that Kyle Orton wasnt the answer. Then now the trade happens and everyone is talking about how Kyle will be a good starter with the Broncos? I don't get it

Couldnt agree more. I was laughing about it with a couple friends. We didnt know we had the Pro Bowl QB and we just traded him. All season long Kyle played decent, but there was still doubt amongst everyone about him being the franchis QB.

The Bears finaly make a move and people are acting like Kyle was a god...pretty funny this whole being a fan thing. People are dumb.
