Only available in the few places that don't get DTV across the country. Classic bait and switch.

It's always been marketed that way, there is no way for DirecTV to determine if you can get their service or not. You just check the box that says you are not able to get their service at your address and enter your credit card information.

Is there any way that they would prevent this being shown via hdmi any other streaming device? For example could I watch on my ipad then stream to my tv via air play. 240 for console vs 200 for PC/mobile seems weird.

My PC is connected to my TV via hdmi and I've had no issues in the past. I'm going that route to save money

The web interface is superior to mobile and gaming consoles so I prefer it. Last season I used the free Sunday Ticket code from Madden 25 on my laptop with HDMI out connected to my TV and it looked good. As good as full bitrate HD? No. Better quality and more reliable than pirate streams? Yes.

I live in a townhouse, can't get Direct Tv and it says I'm ineligible to get this.

I'm not sure the offer has gone live yet for everyone because I tried it with my name and address and it came back as ineligible but see below-

After I tried to enter my name and address for the Sunday Ticket offer, it said I was ineligible but I noticed a box that mentioned college student discounts so I tried it with my daughter's name and date of birth along with selecting "University of Texas at Austin" from the drop down menu and it said I was eligible and also gave me the PC version at $149!! The other tiers are not discounted, only the computer/mobile device package but $50 is a nice discount on what was likely to be the package I purchased regardless

Seems like there is only 10 colleges that are eligible for the deal which really blows. It says I'm ineligible and Florida State is not one of the eligible universities.

Did they ask for pics ?

There no way to pause a stream correct ? My desire to cut the tv cord grows strong but I really do need highest PQ possible for the size screen and I am too fargone into my habit of starting games half hour in then FFWding through all the unnecessary TV TOs.
Best reason to have a license.

They didn't ask for pics but you definitely need to know the name and birth date of somebody that goes to one of those colleges. It queries the student/faculty database...I could not believe it was that advanced

I am pretty sure you can pause the stream. The bit rate thing is the big issue for those of us with larger TV's that want the best PQ. It's just not going to look as good as full bitrate HD.
