We'll see.

San Francisco 49ers ... as a quarterback.
He was a legitimate top 12 QB in the league before his stupidity, regardless of what the naysayers claim. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Anyone who doesn't think Vick at his best is a top 10 QB is kidding themselves. Despite what people say he was a serviceable QB and a possesses a higher win % than Drew Brees or Jay Cutler.
Not going to get into a multipage argument about this, but I think it is laughable that people think Vick should change positions. Anyone who has the arm that he has should be behind center. His arm is arguably as NFL elite as his feet. Only thing he was lacking was accuracy, and that is coachable. Let's not forget he had Greg "I Will Get My Head Coach Fired" Knapp as his coordinator.
With decent coaching, there might still be some productivity left to be salvaged from Mike Vick. Must I mention he can literally throw while running.Comment

he was not accurate, could not read a defense, could not learn an offense, fumbled the ball alot, etc...
he was not a top 10 QB, ever
winning %, lol, sounds like the same arguement for guys like Jay FiedlerLiquidrob's Top 10 Fighters Rankings

Originally posted by blitzriqueThere's a dichotomy in that statement. An elite NFL arm must be accurate. Accuracy is the most important facet after fast [sound] decision making and leadership, no?
Why would you play a guy at RB/WR when he can routinely throw the ball 70 yards? It's not like he was atrocious as a passer, just merely average. With proper coaching he could squeeze into "above average" territory as a passer with elite speed and arm strength.Comment

While I'll agree, I'll also say that the term "NFL Arm" usually refers to a guy who can "make all the throws"

and they also have to throw it to the WR where he can catch it, all the coaching Vick has had did not make him more accurate
now he has been out of the game for a couple years, is older, and would have to learn another offense he has no idea how to run
only viable option for him would be a WR/RB/PR, he was a project years ago, now he would be even a bigger projectLiquidrob's Top 10 Fighters Rankings

Vicks completion %
2001 - 44.2
2002 - 54.9
2003 - 50.0
2004 - 56.4
2005 - 55.3
2006 - 52.6
In his 'best' year he had a 56.4 %, that would put him .3 above Dan Orlovsky last seasonLast edited by Liquidrob; 04-04-2009, 12:38 AM.Liquidrob's Top 10 Fighters Rankings

how many times a game does a QB throw it 70 yards a game? how about 50? 40?
and they also have to throw it to the WR where he can catch it, all the coaching Vick has had did not make him more accurate

I would think making him learn an entirely new position at 28 would be more of a project then having him resume playing the same position he's played his whole life. Anyone who thinks he'd be able to learn who to play WR or RB and be successful is reaching.
And you can't compare Dan Orlovsky to Vick because Orlovsky didn't run for 1,000 yards either or take his team to an NFC Championship Game.Comment

LOL at calling a playoff winning QB a "project"

when your comp % never hits 60% after 5 years, you're still a project
vick never showed signs of advancing his skill set, he actually regressed for a couple years after his first full season of play
vick is still a projectLiquidrob's Top 10 Fighters Rankings
