This is what I was talking about..........

Earlier up here I said the aftermath of the Ray Rice uproar would be extremism the other way. Namely women trying to use the public's torches & pitchforks mentality against domestic violence as a means of blackmailing players with the mere accusation of impropriety. Well, look what is happening in Florida. It appears a student took a sexual encounter as an opportunity to accuse QB Treon Harris of an assault. He gets suspended (not just from the team, but the campus) just because of the complaint & investigation. As soon as Harris's lawyer reveals the accuser had sent texts to Harris & another person (messages termed as "aggressive") before the alleged incident, she suddenly withdraws the complaint. These texts were sent while Harris was still in Tennessee after the game.

Harris was about to be named starter for the Gators, but had to miss practice & class just because one person made a claim. So now he has to sit this weekend.

The public can allow themselves to be manipulated by a media manufacturing a firestorm and lose their sense of fairness & justice. And decision makers become impotent followers of the crowd infringing on basic rights of the individual. Right does not fluctuate w/the changing tide. Once you take away the right of the individual, you take away the right of society, your own. We need to get rid of this mob thinking, this reactionary approach to justice. Stop letting the phony outrage of the press take away your ability to think & reason. Extremism in any direction gets everybody lost. Keep centered.

Peter Yu, Drew Sterrett and Lewis McLeod were headed toward bright futures at prestigious colleges and universities when each got involved in one-night sexual encounters.

Lets see these bleeding hearts push for stricter punishments against false accusers.
Best reason to have a license.

Social justice warriors. To be fair this kind of shit goes far beyond sports to the dear colleague letter. Guys have been getting kicked out of schools at a startling pace based only on accusations the last couple of years. Even when police don't fund and merit or even charge the accuser with filing a false report.

Dante Cunningham's agent said he was told as recently as Monday by one team that they couldn't risk the public relations trouble that could come from signing him.

Bad publicity, even though he was cleared and was determined the accuser made up most of the accusations against him? Unbelievable, but that's where we stand now with domestic violence now because of the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson situations.

This is what gets me from this article...
Police said alcohol was not a factor in the case. They also recommended that Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman charge Herron with making a false police report for the second incident, but he told the AP he was reluctant to do so in part because he feared "a chilling effect" on future victims of domestic violence.
What kind of thinking is that for him to have???!?!? He should be worried about crimes being committed in his district w/no fear of prosecution. An omission of justice for one segment of the population is an omission for all.

Eventually men are going to get fed up and stop white knighting these pieces of shit.

What is interesting in this one is that ESPN's article doesn't mention that MacDonald has videotape evidence showing consensual sex. So the guy is fired for "poor judgement" in having ex w/a willing partner?
