Tom Brady suspended 4 games over "DeflateGate"

The draft picks probably hurt more than the suspension of Brady since that will likely get appealed down to a couple of games. I'm shocked that the league came out this strong against the defending Super Bowl champs though.

I don't consider this strong. Strong would have been 8 games, knowing that it would get paired down from there.

Like I said before, they have to make the reward not worth the risk.

It wasn't "strong" ... it was a lynching. It wasn't an independent study as the league claims. Brady got suspended for not turning over his cell phone. But no other player had to either. So it was a railroading.

Not saying it was ok to deflate the football, just saying it certainly wasn't a legitimate investigation which is why Brady will win an appeal and only serve 2 games at most.

Clearly, I'm biased since I'm a Pats fan but the first round pick is ridiculous especially since Belichick was cleared of any wrong doing.

What a slap on the wrist.
Repeat offenders in another SB season. Who the hell wouldn't trade 2 games and a 1st round pick ?
Again some of you dolts don't get it. There's nothing about this that would deter other teams from cheating in a crucial or deciding game.

This is ridiculous. I have really lost faith in Roger Goodell's ability to lead the NFL after this.

Full disclosure, I bought tickets to the Patriots @ Bills game this year in week 2. Our annual vacation is a road trip to an NFL game. The plan was to drive through Canada (which I have never been to before), see Niagra falls and then go to the game. We picked this game for the unique road trip through Canada, and to see Tom Brady play. Brady is the only star player on either team, and now after this suspension he won't be playing.

The NFL has definitely marketed tickets to Patriot games as a chance to see Tom Brady play in person. With the NFL suspending him, I now consider this advertising and ticket sales transactions to be Fraudulent. If Roger Goodell wants to uphold this ridiculous suspension he needs to offer reimbursement to the fans who bought tickets to see Tom Brady not whoever the QB is on the Bills and the Patriots backup.

What if none of this had happened and Tom Brady had his knee destroyed again in week 1?

However Brady and his ball crew breaking the rules and integrity of the game is totally okay, Goodell should have just let this go seeing as he IS TOM BRADY after all. That sends a strong signal to the rest of the league that they can get away with things too.

I can't prove anything and I haven't read the report but I find it hard to believe that the ball inflater was too incompetent to let Brady at least know that the soft balls he likes are not within league specs.

As a man who thoroughly hates the NFL's greed, I can't feel sorry for you. You knew the investigation was ongoing & that suspension was a possibility before you bought tickets. And since the Pats game was week 2, it was very likely that he would be sitting during that week. You knew the risk.

Out of curiosity do your tickets say BILLS VS PATRIOTS....or Bills vs Tom Brady ?

I'm quite interested in this "unique road trip through Canada".

Will you by any chance be blogging, tweeting, or perhaps posting pics on instagram?
