Liquid i totally dig what you are saying i do keep up with mma and heres what i think fedor can take punishment a lot of it, he will put up a better fight than Mir, he has a lot more experiance than brock isnt the guy like 33-1 with that one being questionable? mma is like college football ne one can be beat at ne given time but with these two it truthfully boils down to who makes more mistakes fedors experience being evened out by brocks power and desire to prove a point.

If a new NFL fan was to pop into the NFL section and start declaring that Adrian Peterson is the greatest running back to have ever lived and its no content, then has no idea who Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Gale Sayers, or Jim Brown are... well, its pretty tough to take them seriously. If you don't know a lot, don't act like you do. Its simple. That's no different in real life than it is from a forum.
                Not the same.

Both sides of the coin are assholes far as Im concerned.
You have a bunch of people new to the sport who watch a few cards, and maybe the reality show like the sport and try way too hard to sound like they know wtf they're talking about. Pride days are ancient history far as access is concerned, Fedor is the most uncharismatic uncaring great fighter ever , and much of MMA history would involve going back diggin up vids from a defunct Japanese organization. You dont get people constantly comparing during live broadcasts , you dont see historical stat comparisons , and you dont have MMA films before and after every game filling in the blanks.
When a sport is barely hitting mainstream you cant really fault new fans for being ignorant. If anything it gives people who know there shit to look a hell of a lot better and put things into perspective. Only a few "noobs" Ive come across are so hard headed as to think theyre right about it everytime. If MMA is to grow we need them for better or worse. Without proper presentation its impossible to put old fights and fighters into proper perspective. MMA isnt there yet.

On the flip side you have the uber look at me and who I "roll" with crop who ARE hard headed and seem to be against the idea of MMA going mainstream. Any attempt at it is met with some back in my day or how stupid is this crap and belittling people for not knowing about some 28th ranked 125 lb Jap who has good sub skills. Calling people noobs ,desperately name dropping ,trashing every attempt at Mainstream attraction is what MMA doesnt need. And like every other sport those are the ones who get left behind and ignored at the end of the day. Noone gives a shit about the old guy in the corner complaining about young punks and how the system screwed his beloved sport.
Best reason to have a license.
