      Ahahahhahahahahahaha!

      So instead of just finding a replacement they cancel the whole shit? Pathetic. Affliction is run like a joke. Good riddance.. this is the last we'll hear about Affliction that doesnt involve folding.

              Well that sucks.

              Sounds like they had trouble finding an opponent (ie. Strikeforce would not allow Rogers to fight) that Showtime approved of. I guess in their mind if the show could not provide the advertised main event, it wasn't going to air.

              No doubt it sounds like this may be the end of Affliction...sucks for the fighters

                Hey Rob is it still worth the money ??:drunk::D

                Thats what happens when you market names and not a brand. You hinge everything on a single fight or guy.
                Josh Barnett is a tool.

                      Like I've been saying all along just cancel the event. It's the best business move that they can make, sure it's going to be hard to rebound from this, but going on with the event would have been even worse. They would have lost more money running that event than they will just by cancelling it. Plus, they were going to make their entire show look amatuer by throwing in a MW to fight a HW a week before the event. But, also don't forget that Fedor basically refused to fight against Vitor. The show most likely would have gone on if Fedor wanted to fight Vitor.

                      Was Fedor afraid of Vitor? Personally I don't blame him, that's a guy you have to prepare for. Vitor is a completely different fighter than Barnett and Vitor has the boxing ability to give Fedor a tough time in the ring, something he really didn't have to worry about against Barnett.

                        That's why the UFC is able to get away with the bullshit it does. Competition is poorly ran. On the bright side, maybe Fedor signs now.
                        So, metaphorically speaking, our physiology basically has the universe mapped out and you're thinking it needs to be taught addition & subtraction.

                          What if BJ Penn was injured a week before the GSP fight? The UFC would be in the same position.

                            Someone would definitely step in.. it wouldnt be nearly the fight it would've been, but someone definitely would've stepped in. The UFC would never cancel a show over a talent not being able to fight.

                              Yet 100 events later hasnt happened.

                              AGAIN you dont market around a guy or name. You market a brand. Thats why NFL stays on top and NBA sunk to misery after Jordan.

                              Numerous times Main event participants have suffered injuries. They find replacements.

                              So again we have Ken injuring himself right before a fight and Kimbo getting KOd by a nobody.
                              Now you have Barnett fucking everything up for everyone by getting caught roiding.

                              If affliction goes under thats 2/2 with the same Fn story.

                              For as much shit as they catch for shady business Pride at least knew wtf they were doing in running a fighting org. These ass clowns like Affliction are clueless.

                              Just seeing you eat crow for the second Affliction event in a row.

                              MMA fans lose out when clueless people get involved in the sport. This is another black eye on mma from an 'outside' organization. Main event cancelled and organization goes under because of roid test. MMA doesnt need that shit.

                              By my count
                              Pride = Mob ties
                              EXC = Kimbo wagon derailed
                              Affliction=One fighter pony.

                              UFC is the only thing pushing this sport mainstream. Knock Dana like a tool all you want but the guy has done wonders for MMA and is always at least attempting to put on the fights people want to see.
                              All the other shit people knock him for has nothing to do with us as fans. Its the fighters and there lack of a union. You want fighters not to get hosed , or get more money or not get pushed out or have options etc... then get a Union.

                              This is bad news for MMA and once again the bad news isnt coming from the UFC.
