I don't think anyone is doubting Machida against Shogun, but I'm cheering for Shogun because I have a massive mancrush on a fighter who was the most dominant 205'er ever and wants him to return to his former form.

BTW Miguel Torres is also considered "Elite", easily.

There are other "elite" fighters in MMA obviously but these guys are all bar-none the top of their weight class, IMO.

FW is debatable between Faber and Brown still IMO, but Brown obviously has edge right now.

Rob, far as I know, you are 0-2 in main event fights as you swore Mir would kill Lesnar and Forrest would kill Silva. I'm sure you had Hendo over Bisping, but who didn't.

Pretty much went exactly how I thought it would. Rob kept hyping up Forrest's new and improved ground game and how he will come in with a ground game attack. Forrest is a fighter, I knew he couldn't resist standing and trading with Silva, and I knew Silva would pick him apart.

That said, I'm sure Forrest regrets not trying to take this fight to the ground and trying to stand and trade with Silva. I don't think even he or anyone in his camp realized that Anderson Silva is the most technical boxer in MMA.

I really want to see Silva Vs. Machida.

I think people get too caught up in the x-factors of the fight. The weight difference with Silva or BJ's cardio, Henderson's age, etc. Just pick who you think is the best fighter. That's all.

Thats the fun part trying to figure out the gameplans and matching skill set, styles make fights, plus Silva was going up a weight class, so just saying 'he is a better fighter' and going with it is not that simple and you would just pick the favorites every time anyway

Forrest didnt even try and go for a clinch, TD, anything, if someone told me he was just going to kickbox than I pick Silva all day, I even said Forrest has a overrated chin and Silva is to precise for him, oh well, Forrest made a bad choice

Bisping is a runner and he could have out pointed Dan in a 3 round fight if he could avoid the 1 big KO punch, he just didnt

Bisping has the skill set to out point a guy like Dan, it just didnt happen, doesnt mean I think Bisping is better, just thought he could win 2 out of 3 rounds by points
