Even now, I bet the next line for Ottawa is Kovalav-Spezza-Alfresson and they will be back to have no depth on the third line.

They will be the Tampa of the West. It's not Ottawa anymore :guitar:

I can see something like this.

    Michalek-Spezza-Alfie
    Kovalev-Fisher-Cheechoo
    Foligno-Kelly-Shannon
    Ruutu-Winchester-Neil

If Cheech can play LW I'd probably move him there though but I'll take the safer pick with Kovalev moving.

I don't mind the 3rd line as Foligno and Shannon really flourished under Clouston's system.

The 4th line will be a headache for other teams but damn is it an expensive one.

I still see a few more player changes. Murray said during a press conference "Please tell other teams that players are available"

Honestly, I would hope Ottawa does that because they need to get out of this mind set that all their best players need to be on one line. Look at the champions right now, you don't see Crosby and Malkin on the same line. Move the players around and find people that can help them along. I always thought they should have put Alfie on the second line and found him someone to play with, Once they got Kovalev, I saw a spark of what could happen, and then it died when Heater wanted out.

And I also hope Foligno does well since I have him in a sim league.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

        "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

He could be thrown on the 2nd line to balance things out and who knows if his playing time will even increase (what he was bitching about).

Going to a team that chokes hard in the playoffs (worse then the senators).

          LOL @ Heatly.
Heatley will be the premier player in San Jose. He will be the top goal scorer and will play on the top line with Joe. Joe is not a goal scorer and Marleau is not the goal scorer that Heater is.

I predict the lines will look something like this:

          Heatley - Thornton - Setoguchi
          Marleau - Pavelski - Clowe
          McGinn - Mitchell - ? (Hinote)
          Shelley - Nichol - Ortmeyer

Nah, Detroit is the favorite until proven otherwise.
