I had a bad feeling about the Flyers losing last night after Briere missed the wide open net at the end of regulation when the puck bounced over his stick....very physical game, lots of big hits, but the biggest was McQuaid trying to elbow Richards' in the face and crashing his own face into the boards.
Philly had numerous chances to win the game. The Bruins controlled the 2nd period, but when Philly withstood that rush by not giving up any goals, I thought they had the game in hand. I was surprised that Boucher was re-inserted into the game. Buffalo was a terrible team, and Briere especially had free reign to do whatever he wanted. This series is a little bit more chippy. I think Philly is more talented, but Boston has done a good job of getting back on defense and not allowing any rebound opportunities (for the most part).

I don't think Philly is more talented, and plus their goalie group are all terrible. I think both teams are pretty even besides the goaltending. It finally is catching up to them. Thomas stood on his head all game and stole this game for sure. GOOO BRUINS!
The goalie issue is the issue with the Flyers. Some soft goals were allowed and it is costing them. The Flyers can be beat, you just have to not give them chances. Buffalo almost did it, and they let off and look what happened. Boston just has to play their style of hockey and not turn over the puck and hand Philly chances like they did on the goalies in game 2.
These are both teams that are lucky to be playing in the second round after the first round. One team changed their play for the better and they have the 2-0 lead. But it is also easy to win games when your goalie is stopping 52 shots in a game.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

It seemed that other than an extended run in the 2nd period, Philly dominated the play. When Philly would up their intensity, Boston couldn't answer. Half the time Boston couldn't even clear their own zone. It has to be a frustrating loss for Philly, because their goalies didn't play THAT bad, and they still lost.

I'm trying to find the video of the blown call last night in Nashville, the 1 or 2 real fans of the predators are fuming hard today.
LOL @ Mcquaid too. I heard on twitter all the boston guys complaining that the crowd was cheering for the injury when it looked like they were just clapping that he could get off like any normal crowd.

Boston is the same crowd that chants U-S-A to a game featuring Canadian and Euro players.
