Here comes the old visor debate now.

Am I the only one that realizes even with a visor Pronger would of still probably been hit in the eye.

      Leafs offseason training!

Unless everyone is wearing Dany Heatly visors that come down almost to the mouth, it really isn't worth it. I read on twitter yesturday that 70% of the league wears a visor and it is mostly the older guys who are holding out for it. Most new kids are not taking it off.

Shea Weber is a 'young' guy that comes to mind that doesn't wear it.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

        "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

I think everyone is waiting for Kane to have a break out 100pt year. Guy has the talent, just has never been "that guy".

I don't think he is that guy.

In today's NHL a 100pt player is a top 5 NHLer and I don't think he's it. Close, but not it. 85-90pts is where he'll land.

I agree. The way the stick came up, I think it would of went under the visor and still got him good. I believe he did say that when he comes back that he will be wearing a visor which leaves only 5 players on the whole team who don't wear one (Matt Walker, Andreas Lilja, Max Talbot, Jody Shelley, Wayne Simmonds)

In other news - Eric Lindros is confirmed to play in the alumni game for the Winter Classic.

After Simmonds catches a banana peel in the eye he'll elect to wear the visor too.

They were saying on Comcast Sportsrise yesterday that this is actually the first season Simmonds HASN'T worn a visor, not really sure why he made the change.

Is this a meme or just really bad taste?

Mika Zibanejad is heading back to Sweden after 9 games. He is going from being a third line player to a first line player in the Swedish league, so a good move for Ottawa.

That leaves four guys, Sean Couturier is apparently staying with the Flyers as he has worked himself into the third line and they don't think he can learn any more in juniors. I thought this was the guy the Sens should have picked as their next 'bug' centre.

Adam Larsson is still with the Devils and basically isn't going anywhere. Plays huge minutes on the devils and has good hockey sense for an 18 year old. Gabriel Landeskog is another who is staying, as he easily worked himself onto the Avs, and well, he has no junior team to go back to. And of course jury out on Hopkins.

Some other players from years before. Brett Connolly is staying with the Lightning. He was the 2010 6th round pick. And Erik Gudbranson is still a wait and see. Blue Jackets Ryan Johansen is also nearing his 9 games and isn't a clear stay or go.

All of this means we are getting royally fucked for Team Canada at the juniors this year. We got Schiefeil back, but no Couturier, Connolly, Hopkins, Gubranson (possible), Ryan Ellis. Should be an interesting team this year.

Tortorella stop shuffling lines every period and changing healthy scratches every game, start coaching.
