Cant disagree with anything you said really. The lack of depth is really showing. They had to work so hard just to get in. They are getting pounded. I honestly believe the Hawks are a year too early with this team. With all the team turnover, and all the kids, them them just getting in was a gift. So if the can somehow protect home ice, I can see them losing the series 4-2 and ill be ok with that.

Ian White was not going to change that fact. I've been saying it for awhile, Vancouver is just anothe giant this year then years before, and if I put my money on any team, any #1 overall team to win, it would be Vancouver. Just crazy depth, as shown in both game 1 and 2, as anyone can score, Roberto is playing amazing and the defence is tops in the league easily.
This years cup is Vancouvers to lose. You can go up and down every team in the playoffs and say "they are missing this, they are weak here." Vancouver was what before the playoffs? A third line centre, which looking now, actually is filled by Lapiere who is doing good.
Now it is only 2 games in, and Vancouver has that choke effect always on their side. But I think mentally, playing Chicago in round one was what they needed, and probably the worst thing for any other team in the West. Once they beat them, all the talk about not getting by is done. They will most likely play Nashville or Anaheim if an upset doesn't happen in the other two, and I don't see any way either of those two beat Vancouver right now.
Wallin is just awful. I really like Braun but he is a rookie. Either way, Canucks should and will be favored in every series, but we have seen upsets happen before.
As for Chicago, they just aren't a complete team right now and they aren't clicking. They are young and fresh off a Stanley Cup, so I question how badly they really want it. Vancouver is playing like they want it and they think they can get it, Chicago isn't right now. Maybe going back home will change that.Comment

Yeah I agree. I think the Sharks can give them a series as they definitely have as much as talent and depth but losing Ian White hurts a lot more than you think. He was easily the Sharks 2nd or 3rd best Dman. The Sharks really don't have any glaring weaknesses except for the 5th and 6th DMen now who are Wallin and Braun.

Its kinda wierd some leaf fans loved him and I really didn't care for him and his constant turnovers.

Eh the only thing I can say about white helping is because the sharks dman core isn't necessarily the strongest anyways. The guy has been shipped all over the league (4 teams in 2 years I think). Undersized and not too strong in his own end. Pretty good at getting the puck out though and does show some offensive skill.

Demers is decent but lacks experience and smarts. White just complemented the defense really well because he is mobile, has the 2nd best shot from the point out of the defense, plays smart and isn't soft.
Now the Sharks are going to be forced to put Wallin and Braun or Huskins out there. It really depends on how well Braun plays.Comment
