They also don't have the pressure Miller does on him. Miller probably knows how good he is and he is playing a team that should be doing better then what they are. Vokoun would be another, but I think he gets it with Florida.

Honestly, I don't mind players getting upset and pissed. They are human. It's been a rough ride for Miller and the Buffalo community this year, but they wont move him. Not many can even take on that type of contract.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

I wish Toronto had afternoon games like the flyers always seem to have.

On the flip side with the NFL pretty much done the start of the sunday afternoon game will become more regular after next weekend.

I want to get more into hockey, since I did like the couple of Devils games I went to and the possibility of a lockout in nfl/nba.

How's the league doing? What should I know before following nhl?

The Flyers seriously will never get a shutout this year

League is doing good as normal. Nothing you can really know, just jump in and start watching. Not much you can be told.

Sunday NBC games will start up after the ASG. However all that means is Pittsburgh vs NYR/PHI/WSH on Sunday afternoons, with the rare SJ/LA game at 4.

I wish they'd take more advantage of afternoons than they do. Those Hockey Day in Canada tripleheaders are decent, should be every Saturday from here on out IMO.

Goalies are fuckin mental, like a closing pitcher in baseball. No big deal, just a tough year in Buffalo.

League is doing great, if you want to know one thing, it's find someone other than New Jersey to cheer for. Outlook not so good.

The triple headers are usually pretty good. I think it was last year where they had a quad and I ended up watching hockey from 12:30PM to around 1AM or so whenever the canuck game ended.

Fuck NBC and their constant Pitts/philly/wash/or chicago games but I guess you need to appeal to the big market US teams. Kinda the same thing with leaf games even though they've tanked it for the last 5/6 years.

I always thought the NHL should do a huge thing like what football does. Have a day dedicated to hockey and have a bunch of games on. You could draw up a killer day of hockey and really sell the game.

                    12:00 -1:00 - Pre-game talk stuff
                    1:00 - 4:00 - First group of games
                    4:00 - 7:00 - Second group of games
                    7: 30 - 10:30 - third group
                    10:30 - ??? - late games

That is a long day of hockey, but you figure with 15 games possible, you could have 3 games at 1, 3 at 4, 3 at 10:30 and the rest at 7:30.

That is how you sell the game. As much as I love seeing the Penguins play, you can only see pit/phi/chi/det/nyr/mjd/wash games so many times because you get tired of it. I understand that when NBC hockey is on it is normally at 1:00pm and that means East cost teams, but you still have some good teams in there. Tampa and Boston come to mind.

NHL should really jump on something like this. With college football not taking up Saturday anymore, they should come in and take over and go after the same networks as them.

Gleason got a game misconduct for this? And lol at Kulemin skating into the boards on his way off the ice.

                          wat.

You ALWAYS complain about the refs making soft calls and this league going too soft. If Kulemin doesn't want to fight he should just throw waffles at Gleason's face instead of gloved hands.

Says the rangers fan. He was pulling his best Avery impression.

Gleason got mad because he took some gloves in a scrum. Long story short he should stop being a whiny bitch and just face wash his back.

BTW I didn't think a game misconduct was warranted but eh its the retarded NHL with their after the whistle shit. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Gleason gets a couple games for that though.
