Torts criticizes players all the time. Del Zotto hasn't been cut out the picture but they sent him to the AHL because he was literally being embarrassed by the guys below him on the depth chart. He's pretty much the 7th best dman in the club right now and that's why he's playing for the Whale.

And there is no NTC or NMC on it. Which really looks like they are either trying to move him at the deadline and are looking to get a little bit more in return or they are just extending it to see what kind of money they have to deal with in a couple years.

At least three NHL teams have expressed interest in goaltender Ray Emery.

Sources have confirmed both the Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers are in the mix as two of the three teams, however neither team is at a point where they're prepared to make an offer to sign the unrestricted free agent. Although, the expectation is teams will make their move on Emery within the next 48 hours.

Flyers getting Emery is just stupid, even more so after waiver Leighton. What reason do they need him. Ducks kind of make sense as Hiller could use a back up.

He may actually stay on the team that signs him, as he didn't play anywhere this season so he has free control over his team.

Penguins injury woes continue as now Mark Letestu is out for 4-6 weeks. Malkin should be back against Buffalo and Crosby, well he is off visitng his parents. Thanks twitter.

Because he will be a cheap player that no one will sign long term and if he quits, it isn't a huge hit on the books. You wont see him making millions. Unless he comes out and plays amazing, he'll play AHL and back up goalie for the rest of his career.
